10 of the Greatest Animated Series to Watch if You Love KPop Demon Hunters

Although a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is planned with the return of Rumi, Zoey, and Mira, fans may have a long wait before it appears on Netflix. If you’re looking for similar animated adventures in the meantime, there are plenty of options. While few shows or movies explore the K-pop world as thoroughly as this Oscar-winning film from Sony Pictures Animation, many offer the same energetic and musical spirit. Here are ten animated series to enjoy if you’re eager for more like KPop Demon Hunters.

10.) Steven Universe

Where to Watch: Hulu

Though it doesn’t feature traditional battles against demons, the animated series Steven Universe is full of colorful characters who often express themselves through song as they work to save the world. The show first aired on Cartoon Network in 2013 and expanded into a movie and a follow-up series set years later. Steven Universe combines comedy and action in its adventures, and another spin-off is currently being developed. With five seasons available, there’s a lot to enjoy before the next installment, KPop Demon Hunters, arrives.

9.) Totally Spies

Where to Watch: HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video

After first airing on ABC Family and then gaining popularity on Cartoon Network, Totally Spies is back with a new season! Though it doesn’t feature as many songs as shows like KPop Demon Hunters and Steven Universe, the fun relationship between the characters Sam, Clover, and Alex would be a great fit for a Sony Pictures Animation movie. With seven original seasons plus the new revival, there’s a lot of Totally Spies to enjoy.

8.) Sailor Moon

Where to Watch: Hulu

The Sailor Scouts from Sailor Moon were real pioneers in the magical girl genre, and their battles against powerful villains would feel right at home in the world of Huntrix. With a large number of episodes and movies, there’s plenty of Sailor Moon content to discover. The series remains incredibly popular and is well-known for its focus on female superheroes – it’s fair to say it paved the way for shows like KPop Demon Hunters to thrive.

7.) Demon Slayer

Where to Watch: Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu

While not a traditional musical, Demon Slayer is packed with demons for the Hashira to battle, and it’s become one of the most popular anime adaptations ever. With Demon Hunter: Infinity Castle breaking box office records, now is a great time to get into the series – the last two movies in the trilogy likely won’t be released for quite a while.

6.) Bocchi The Rock

Where to Watch: Crunchyroll

I’m totally hooked on Bocchi The Rock! It’s not about supernatural stuff, but seriously, the music in this anime is incredible. It follows Bocchi as she tries to make friends through playing guitar, and it’s become a huge hit after just one season. The best part? They’ve already announced a second season! That gives you plenty of time to dive in and get ready, because the sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is also coming out eventually. You really don’t want to miss this one – it’s a fantastic musical journey!

5.) Hazbin Hotel

Where to Watch: Amazon Prime Video

I’m totally hooked on Hazbin Hotel – it’s become a huge hit, and honestly, it’s easy to see why! The show is just brilliant at giving its characters real depth, and the music is unbelievably catchy. Seriously, Charlie Morningstar and the rest of the hotel crew are everywhere! Now, they aren’t exactly traditional superheroes like Huntrix, but if you enjoy KPop Demon Hunters and how that blew up, trust me, you’ll love this too. I highly recommend checking it out!

4.) Metalocalypse

Where to Watch: Adult Swim

While more grown-up than KPop Demon Hunters, Metalocalypse is the animated series to watch if music is central to your enjoyment. The show follows the world’s greatest metal band as they navigate the ups and downs of fame, occasionally battling demons along the way. Known for its humor and occasional gore, this Adult Swim series ran for four seasons and spawned two films, making it a worthwhile experience – even though you won’t find much Kpop in Dethklok’s world.

3.) Phineas & Ferb

Where to Watch: Disney+

While Huntrix is known for its high-energy musical performances, Phineas & Ferb has also produced a lot of memorable songs that fans still enjoy. Now that the original creators have brought the show back to Disney with a new series, the story of these two brothers continues to be a fan favorite. The new season promises to continue their endless summer adventures, complete with more music woven into Phineas and Ferb’s daily lives.

2.) Adventure Time

Where to Watch: Hulu

Finn and Jake’s adventures have made Adventure Time one of Cartoon Network’s most popular and long-lasting original shows, and it’s easy to see why. Though the heroes aren’t always singing, the show has produced many memorable songs that have become part of pop culture. While the original series is over, a spin-off featuring Fionna and Cake just released a new season, with more content planned. The show’s vibrant style and characters would feel at home in the world of Huntrix, and there’s a lot to watch while fans wait for the KPop-inspired sequel.

1.) Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur

Where to Watch: Disney+

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur are Marvel characters who haven’t appeared in live-action movies yet, but they’ve become popular thanks to their animated series. The show, which aired for two seasons on Disney, mixes superheroes, villains, and a great soundtrack to introduce this exciting pair. Although a third season isn’t currently planned, the existing episodes are definitely worth watching, especially if you enjoy shows like KPop Demon Hunters.
