Everyone remembers the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but their leader, Zordon, is just as important. He’s guided them through countless battles, even though he’s stuck inside a large tube! Recently, Zordon got a significant boost in power thanks to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The recent crossover event between the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles likely concluded with issue #5, and it ended with a huge twist: Zordon, previously a disembodied head, transferred his consciousness into a rebuilt version of Krang’s robotic body. This not only revealed he was still alive, but also gives him a powerful new form that allows him to fight alongside the Rangers – and it looks fantastic! You can see a picture of Zordon’s new body below.
Zordon Krang Edition Might Be The Coolest Zordon Yet

As a long-time fan, it’s been so cool seeing different takes on Zordon over the years, especially in the comics and movies. He’s had robotic bodies before, but this version – seeing him running around in Krang’s old suit – is just amazing! It’s a fun twist I never expected.
The book’s final battle is surprisingly bizarre and exciting. We see Zordon unexpectedly join the attack, fighting alongside a White Ranger version of Splinter! They team up to destroy hordes of Putties as they head towards a final showdown with Lord Zedd and Shredder, both of whom have been enhanced with Morphin Grid power.
Despite losing an arm in battle, Zordon manages to help turn things around, working with Splinter. Splinter then uses the Sword of Light, Saba, to redirect Shredder and Zedd’s stolen morphing powers back to their source.
Zordon has used robotic suits before. In the comics, he wore a cool battle suit during the Eltarian War. Fans have also seen what a younger Zordon looked like – both on his home planet of Eltar in the comics, and as the Red Ranger in the 2017 Power Rangers reboot movie.
Even with all the exciting team-ups, seeing Zordon inside Krang’s robot is a definite highlight – it’s easily the most memorable part of the three crossovers these characters have done together in recent years.
