Following the end of the thrilling Egghead Island arc in the final saga of One Piece, the anime is taking a three-month break. Since its debut in 1999, One Piece has consistently released new episodes weekly, which eventually affected the speed and quality of the adaptation. The Wano Country arc improved things with its impressive visuals. Now, for the first time in nearly 27 years, One Piece will switch to a seasonal release schedule, with 26 episodes per year. The anime is coming back with the long-awaited Elbaph arc of the final saga. Crunchyroll has announced the return date as April 5th, but the exact streaming time and when dubbed episodes will be available are still to be confirmed.
I’m so excited – Netflix Anime just confirmed that the series will start streaming on April 11th! It looks like they’re sticking with the same release schedule as the Egghead Incident Arc, meaning new episodes will drop a week after they air in Japan. They’re also adding episodes in batches, which is cool. We’ve already gotten a few from the Whole Cake Island Arc, but there are still plenty more episodes to come – I can’t wait to see what else they add!
One Piece‘s Elbaph Is The Most Anticipated Arc in Almost Three Decades

While journeying to the Alabasta Kingdom, the Straw Hat Pirates unexpectedly stopped at Little Garden. There, they encountered Dorry and Brogy, two giants who had been battling each other for over a hundred years. The giants shared stories of their home, Elbaph, a land populated by powerful and proud Giant warriors. Luffy and Usopp were captivated by these warriors and their country, and they eventually made the long trip to Elbaph themselves. Ever since, fans have eagerly awaited the story arc focused on this legendary land.
After the intense fighting on Egghead Island ended, the crew was able to set sail for the island of the Giant Pirates. On their way, Luffy and part of the crew were unexpectedly transported into a strange, miniature world. This story arc began with chapter 1126 in September 2024 and has already uncovered secrets about the island’s history. It’s also introduced some of the strongest characters yet and finally revealed important details about the events that took place at God Valley 38 years ago.
The next part of the anime will introduce a number of new characters, including both friends and foes. Because the story is focusing on Elbaph and its connection to the Sun God Nika, we’ll likely learn more about the series’ history and how it relates to Luffy’s journey. The Elbaph arc is already a very long one in the manga – it’s been running for over 50 chapters and is one of the longest in One Piece.
