A well-known Nintendo insider, Nate the Hate, recently revealed details about Nintendo’s game plans for 2026 and 2027. Interestingly, someone anonymously shared the same information several days earlier. Nate the Hate added some specific details, but those were also present in the original anonymous post. This strong overlap has sparked a lot of discussion among Nintendo fans. They’re especially excited about something the anonymous leaker mentioned that Nate the Hate didn’t: a remake of Super Metroid for the next Nintendo console, the Switch 2, which is reportedly coming out “soon.”
A YouTube commenter known as “Malo932” accurately predicted details from Nate the Hate’s recent report six days beforehand. While typically an unremarkable source, Malo932 revealed information about upcoming Nintendo games, including a new Star Fox title planned for June, a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake coming this year, a new Switch sports game, and a 3D Mario game slated for 2027. They also claim a Super Metroid remake is on the way “soon,” though it’s unclear exactly when that will be.
Okay, this is seriously weird, and might be the biggest coincidence ever. I mean, it’s too strange not to talk about. The person who originally shared this hasn’t said anything else, and Nintendo’s staying totally quiet too. If either of them speaks up, I’ll update you all right away. But for now, just remember to take this with a grain of salt – it’s still just a rumor!
