On October 3, it was revealed by publishers 2K and developers Gearbox Software that the updated version of Borderlands 4 (specifically Switch 2) is set to release.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I can’t wait to get my hands on Borderlands 4! It’s set to release first for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and both Steam and Epic Games Store on my calendar – September 12. Can’t wait to embark on another loot-filled adventure in the Borderlands universe!
Here is an overview of the game, via 2K:
In the new installment called Borderlands 4, you’ll find intense combat, powerful characters known as Vault Hunters, and countless exotic and lethal firearms on an entirely fresh planet under the control of a cruel despot.
Become one of the four fresh Vault Hunters, dashing into the Kairos scene in search of riches and fame. Utilize potent Action Skills, craft a personalized playstyle by delving into intricate skill branches, and trounce adversaries with agile combat maneuvers that adapt on the fly.
Escape the iron grip of the tyrant known as the Timekeeper, a merciless ruler who controls the populace from above with an iron fist. However, a disaster of global proportions has the potential to shake up this carefully constructed Order, causing chaos and turmoil everywhere.
Overcome obstacles by sparking rebellion against menacing machines, ruthless outlaws, and ferocious creatures. Gather a collection of destructive weaponry to bring chaos while forging your path through Kairos.
Experience single-player or multiplayer (either two-player split-screen or up to four-players online) in this expansive science-fiction journey, filled with free-roam combat and exploration, heart-racing boss battles, randomly generated loot, and an assortment of memorable characters both old and new.
