Alex Horne, known for the show Taskmaster, has hinted at the celebrities joining season 23, and revealed that one of them has won an Academy Award.
The popular comedy game show is coming back for its 21st season on Thursday, April 9th. Joining the regular hosts, Greg Davies and Alex Horne, will be Kumail Nanjiani, known for his roles in Silicon Valley and Eternals, and Armando Iannucci, the creator of shows like The Thick of It and The Day Today.
Horne recently told Huw Fullerton at TopMob magazine that even more well-known actors are scheduled to appear in upcoming episodes.
Horne hinted that a genuine hero of his would be appearing in season 22, which was nearly finished filming when he spoke.
He also mentioned something interesting about the next season of Taskmaster: an Academy Award winner will be appearing as a contestant in a future series.

The lineup for season 21 has been announced. Joining Kumail Nanjiani and Aisling Bea are Joanna Page, known for ‘Gavin & Stacey’, comedian Amy Gledhill from ‘Last One Laughing’, and Joel Dommett, who hosts ‘The Masked Singer’.
When asked about potential standout moments in the next season of Taskmaster, Alex Horne hinted at something involving Kumail Nanjiani. He said Nanjiani unintentionally reveals quite a bit about his private activities while alone in his hotel room, and viewers will have to watch to find out what happens.
He explained that the contestant unexpectedly shared something personal, and being there to witness it felt like a truly unique Taskmaster experience – something that hadn’t happened before.

The new series of Taskmaster starts on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday, April 9th. You can also catch up on older episodes on Channel 4’s on-demand service.
