A week following Elsie Hewitt’s announcement about their upcoming baby, the former Saturday Night Live star expressed his immense joy and anticipation about stepping into the role of fatherhood.

At the New York premiere of “The Home” on July 22nd, he shared with TopMob News that he feels incredibly fortunate and extremely joyful.

Pete shared that he’s eager to provide a nurturing environment for something, aiming to offer the caring upbringing he himself missed out on during his childhood. It seems his intention is to compensate for his own past experiences by offering the best possible care, and avoiding repeating any negative aspects of his upbringing.

Moreover, he has influential figures to seek guidance from, such as Adam Sandler and Colin Jost, who are also part of the SNL family.

As a fortunate individual, I’ve been overwhelmed by everyone’s enthusiasm because they recognize that this opportunity has long been my cherished dream. They’ve all been expressing their encouragement with sentiments like, “You’re destined to excel at this. This will be the most remarkable achievement of your life.” Sandler generously offered me some insightful guidance.

In my perspective, it has been truly heartening to witness such infectious enthusiasm all around. When we engage in any endeavor, I can’t help but yearn for that same level of excitement in everyone, and this sentiment is particularly strong when it comes to the arrival of a new family member, like having a child.

On July 16th, Elsie announced that she and Pete are expecting a new addition to their family by sharing a series of photos on Instagram. Among these pictures was an ultrasound image of their unborn child along with a video clip showing Pete holding her hand while they both watched the baby during an ultrasound examination.

“Welp,” the model quipped in the caption, “now everyone knows we had sex.”

And if anyone is as excited as Pete and Elsie, it’s the comedian’s mom Amy Waters Davidson.
