Three months after Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban finalized their divorce – they are parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 – a fellow country musician shared news about how Keith is coping.
Russell shared with Page Six at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26th that he believes the artist is fully committing to his music, which Russell finds wonderful. He’s excited to hear the new work that will result from this focus.
Even though the country artists had a chance to see each other at the Country to Country festival in March, Russell didn’t have a lot of one-on-one time with Keith. However, Russell said that whenever they did connect, Keith seemed to be doing well.
He’s worked with many of country music’s top artists, but he considers Keith Urban his closest friend and favorite to collaborate with.
News about Keith follows Nicole’s recent statement that she is doing well after finalizing her divorce from him in January. The pair had been married for 19 years.
She told Variety on March 11th that her optimism comes from constantly striving for positive things. She expressed gratitude for her family and their well-being, and said she’s focused on the future. She prefers not to discuss anything else, out of respect for their privacy.
Nicole Kidman, who also has two adult children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, says her main focus is successfully coparenting her daughters.

Nicole filed for divorce in September, shortly after TopMob News reported that she and her spouse had been living apart since early summer.
After three months, the couple completed their divorce and agreed on a plan for raising their children. According to court documents, the actress known for Big Little Lies will have primary custody, spending the majority of the year – 306 days – with their daughters. The singer will have visitation rights, spending every other weekend with the girls.
Even though Nicole is navigating a big change with her divorce, she’s emphasized that her home will always be a constant for her.
Nicole explained that she and her family are staying in Nashville because it’s where they’ve built their life. She’s been a part of the city and its community for two decades and considers it home.

The Oscar-winning actor was designated as the main parent, meaning the girls live with their mother for 306 days each year and with their father for 59 days, typically every other weekend.
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.
Even though they are divorced, the parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child. They agree to avoid speaking negatively about each other or each other’s families, and will encourage their child to love and feel comfortable with both parents and both families.
Urban finalized their divorce agreement, having it officially notarized in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.
According to the document, Nicole Kidman plans to divorce him because they have differences that can’t be resolved. The agreement also specifies that neither of them will receive alimony after the divorce.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.
One week after Urban, the actress finalized both the divorce agreement and the parenting plan by signing and notarizing them.
A judge ordered both celebrities to attend a parenting seminar, unless they request and are granted an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.
I couldn’t help but notice that even after she’d officially signed the papers, she was still wearing her engagement ring at the event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. It was a really curious thing to see, honestly, and definitely made me wonder what was going on.
The split between the couple, who began dating in 2005, was reported by TopMob News after they quietly decided to end their relationship.
The star of Big Little Lies has officially filed for divorce, stating they separated on September 30, 2025.
The couple officially filed their divorce agreement and parenting plan with a Tennessee court for approval on the same day.
