The show did not go on for Megan Thee Stallion.
Megan Thee Stallion was taken to the hospital after feeling unwell during her performance in the Broadway show Moulin Rouge! The Musical on March 31st.
Oh my gosh, I’m so worried! I heard that Megan wasn’t feeling well during the show last night – apparently, she got really sick. Her team told Complex she had to go to the hospital right away so they could figure out what’s wrong. I’m just desperately hoping for good news and they’ll let us know as soon as they have more information. I’m seriously glued to my phone waiting for an update!
Megan was hospitalized shortly after starting her role on Broadway. She’s playing Zidler in the stage version of the 2001 film directed by Baz Luhrmann, which starred Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. Jim Broadbent originally played the same character in the movie.
Megan replaced Bob the Drag Queen, who completed his run as Zidler in the theater on March 22nd.
At 31, she made history by becoming the first performer who identifies as female to ever play the role of Zidler.
Megan expressed her excitement about joining the cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway, calling it a true honor. In a statement released on February 26th, she shared that she’s always looked for creative challenges and is thrilled to explore the world of theater.
Performing on Broadway requires a much higher degree of dedication, practice, and skill in bringing a story to life,” the Grammy-winning artist explained, noting she’s excited to take it on.

After her debut performance on March 24th, Megan expressed her gratitude for being involved in the production. The show was a huge success when it premiered on Broadway in 2019, winning 14 Tony Awards, including the award for Best Musical.
She celebrated a successful opening night on Broadway with an Instagram video of her bowing onstage, expressing gratitude for her amazing cast, crew, and everyone involved. She playfully exclaimed, “HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!”
Megan’s run is scheduled to end on May 17.

Robert Downey Jr. has moved on from his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and recently made his Broadway debut in Ayad Akhtar’s play, McNeal. The play centers around Jacob McNeal, a writer facing a terminal illness who unexpectedly receives a Nobel Prize. Despite strongly disliking artificial intelligence, he considers using it to help him write one last novel.
As for why the Iron-Man star decided to hit the stage in the Bartlett Sher-directed production?
I recently spoke with a creative involved in a new play, and they shared something really insightful. They were talking about the playwright, Ayad, and how brilliantly he handles complex ideas. It’s not just about the subject matter – which is incredibly relevant right now – but how he presents it. He doesn’t just state an idea; he immediately challenges it, almost dismantling his own point with a follow-up thought. It creates this fascinating tension and really makes you think. The whole team – Bart and the entire cast – are incredibly talented, which only amplifies the impact of the work.
Before starting his new role, Robert reached out to Bradley Cooper—a fellow Marvel actor who received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the 2015 play The Elephant Man—to ask for guidance.
Oh my god, he actually said that! He told me, ‘Just remember, you’ll feel your feet – you’ll know you’re actually there!’ And he said the audience would be like a pillow! A pillow! It was the most amazing advice. I immediately thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to channel Bradley Cooper and just let it be perfect. Let it be a beautiful, incredible moment!’ It just…it meant so much, you know?

I was absolutely thrilled when Whitney Leavitt transitioned so seamlessly from Dancing With the Stars – even after her elimination in November 2025 – right into the Broadway production of Chicago! Everyone expected her run as Roxie Hart to end in March 2026, but I was so happy to hear it was extended all the way into April because of how popular she was! It’s amazing to see a talent like hers so well-received.
Whitney is popular for her bubbly personality on the Hulu reality show she stars in alongside Taylor Frankie Paul, Mayci Neeley, and other social media moms. But before becoming a reality TV personality, she was a dedicated dancer and even studied dance at Brigham Young University in Utah, always hoping to perform on stage.
She told Playbill in March 2026 that a love of performing has always been a part of who she is. As a child, she enjoyed making up dances and staging mini music videos for her family, often getting her cousins involved in creating shows for the adults.
And yet she still had nerves about taking her dance skills from TikTok to the Great White Way.
In a February 2026 Instagram video, she shared how overwhelmed she was feeling. She admitted she was especially nervous about singing solo in front of a live audience for the first time. After a lot of preparation, she hoped she’d feel comfortable and confident when she performed the next day, and that she could simply trust her instincts.

Pamela Anderson showed she’s a Broadway star, taking on the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago. She connected with the story on a personal level and performed for two months, finishing her run in June 2022.
Looking back on my life, it’s been quite a journey – definitely a mix of incredible highs and challenging lows. Honestly, for a long time, I felt like I was constantly preparing for something, but I never knew exactly what it was. Now I realize all those experiences were building me up for something bigger and more fulfilling than I ever dreamed possible. It’s amazing how life works, isn’t it?
She felt a connection with Roxie, recognizing both her fragility and resilience. Like Roxie, she understood what it was like to face difficulties with humor and poise, to be misrepresented in the media, and ultimately, to find positivity even in the most challenging situations.
Although she was enthusiastic about the role, the former Baywatch star understood she had a lot of preparation to do before she could convincingly play Roxie and wear the character’s famous fringed dress.
She confessed she’d never pushed herself so hard, but she was thriving on it. She loved the demanding rehearsals and the feeling of satisfaction that came with being exhausted at the end of the day. She was learning everything she could, completely immersed in the experience. She’d always dreamed of being a performer, but never believed it would actually happen.
And the former Playboy model admitted she was surprised to be cast in the role.
I can’t believe they chose me, it feels a little wild, but I’m incredibly thankful,” she said. “It’s a big risk for everyone involved. Singing takes a lot of bravery, but it’s also a skill you have to practice and develop – like building a muscle. I’m learning a lot and feel myself improving with each passing day.

Tom Felton captivated audiences for 19 weeks while performing in Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. He returned to the role of Draco Malfoy, now grown up.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! It’s set nineteen years after the final battle, and it’s all about Albus Severus Potter – Harry and Ginny’s son! – and Scorpius Malfoy, Draco’s son. Can you even imagine? They both get sorted into Slytherin, and they become friends! It’s the most amazing, unexpected thing, and I’m completely obsessed with their story!
It feels surreal,” Tom shared on Today in June 2025, before the show even started. “I keep expecting to wake up from a dream. I hadn’t played that character for sixteen years, and now I get to revisit him – and this time, I’m a father myself, telling a brand new story.”
I’ve always been a huge fan, so it was interesting to hear the actor talk about his Harry Potter experience. He’d played such a memorable villain in all eight films, but he admitted bringing that energy to the stage was a different story – it wasn’t quite the same magical performance, apparently!
He explained that the play feels like a completely separate story from the Harry Potter movies he remembered as a child. Now, instead of being the young audience, he and others are now the parents. While revisiting a familiar role, it also feels like stepping into something new and different.

Charli D’Amelio first gained fame on TikTok, then showcased her dancing on Dancing With the Stars in 2022. Now, she’s bringing her talents to Broadway, making her debut in the musical & Juliet in October 2024.
The influencer originally planned to finish her role as Charmian in January 2025, but it was extended two times.
She expressed immense excitement about joining the Broadway scene, something she’s dreamed of since childhood. In a statement released in September 2024, ahead of her almost year-long engagement, she said making her Broadway debut – and especially being part of the cast of & Juliet – felt like a dream come true, and she was eager to share the experience with audiences.
Although it was her Broadway debut, and the role in Shakespeare’s play involved a lot of dancing, she felt comfortable and prepared thanks to her years of experience.
She shared with ABC7 that November that dance had always been deeply meaningful to her, explaining that it allowed her to express herself in ways words sometimes couldn’t.
Though, it was still hard to grapple with such a prestigious honor.
Charli, who also won her season of Dancing with the Stars, shared that she never imagined she’d be where she is today, and often struggled with self-doubt. She expressed deep gratitude to everyone who supported her, especially her mom, who tirelessly drove her to dance classes and competitions, and always encouraged her to pursue her dreams, even when Charli didn’t believe in herself.

Similar to Whitney and Pamela, Ariana Madix was excited to play Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago. The Vanderpump Rules star earned the opportunity after a difficult time – she was asked to perform just nine months after her very public and painful split from her former co-star, Tom Sandoval.
Understandably, she described that chapter in her life to TopMob News as “the rollercoaster.”
Ariana, who played the role in the musical from January to April and again from August to September 2024, explained that it was impossible to easily summarize everything.
For the reality TV personality, this experience allowed her to overcome a difficult time and achieve great success.
She’s incredibly emotionally manipulative,” she said about Roxie. “She can be incredibly charming and flattering, but the moment she doesn’t get her way, she’ll quickly turn on you.

Julianne Hough dreamed of performing on Broadway, but she was holding out for the perfect role. When she came across the play POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, she felt it was exactly what she’d been waiting for.
From April to August 2022, Alfonso Ribeiro, known for co-hosting Dancing With the Stars, played Dusty, a public relations aide for a U.S. president. Alongside Rachel Dratch, Vanessa Williams, Julie White, Lilli Cooper, and Lea DeLaria, he was part of a team of seven women tasked with protecting the controversial politician from scandal.
She mentioned discussions about performing on Broadway, but she didn’t want it to be just something she did for the experience and then moved on from. She explained to TopMob News in May 2022 that she wanted to truly become involved with the Broadway community, learn from it, and contribute to it, rather than just making a brief appearance.

Nicole Scherzinger always dreamed of stardom. She achieved early success touring the world and enjoying the perks of being the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, but she truly felt she’d reached her goal when she played Norma Desmond in the musical Sunset Boulevard from October 2024 to July 2025.
Nicole, the 2025 Tony Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical, shared with TopMob News that she always felt unfulfilled. She explained she was never truly happy because she knew she had more to offer, and this recent role finally allowed her to fully express herself. She says it’s been a life-changing experience and she’s incredibly thankful for the opportunity.
