I love how this story starts! A guy just wanders into this small town, Margrave, Georgia, and almost immediately feels something’s off. He spots a couple having a heated argument, and it instantly puts him on edge – and you can tell the other guy knows this newcomer isn’t someone to mess with, just from a look. The irony? He’s about to dig into a slice of peach pie when the cops swoop in and arrest him! It’s a brilliantly unsettling setup.
The first scene of Prime Video’s Reacher is incredibly gripping, so it’s not surprising the show became a huge success after its 2022 debut. The series, starring Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, is based on Lee Child’s novels and follows the incredibly tough hero as he travels across the U.S., taking on dangerous opponents. Fans have a lot to look forward to in 2026 for this popular character.
‘Reacher’ Fans Can Likely Watch Two Seasons of Their Favorite Action Franchise in 2026

Fans can likely expect Season 4 of Reacher and the new spin-off series Neagley in 2026, which is great news! With the show’s popularity, it’s easy to see the franchise expanding. Both the next season of Reacher and the Neagley spin-off, starring Maria Sten, have strong potential. Neagley was a fantastic character in the original series, making her a natural choice to lead her own show. The premise – Neagley investigating a friend’s death – is also a smart hook that immediately draws viewers in.
The Reacher series is often compared to the crime thriller Bosch, starring Titus Welliver as Detective Harry Bosch. Fans who met Renée Ballard (Maggie Q) in the original Bosch series were pleased to see her continue as the lead in the spin-off, Ballard. The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, premiered on Prime Video in July 2025 and has been picked up for a second season.
Both Neagley and Ballard started as popular shows on Prime Video and continue the stories of characters viewers already enjoy. While Ballard has done well, it wasn’t without criticism – some fans were disappointed by Titus Welliver’s limited appearance despite Maggie Q’s strong performance. This raises an important question about Neagley: how involved will Alan Ritchson be? According to Deadline, Ritchson will appear as a guest star. If he’s given a compelling storyline and the chemistry between him and the other characters remains strong, Neagley has a good chance of succeeding.
Fans are also wondering if Neagley will return for Season 4 of Reacher. The chemistry between these characters is fantastic, so many viewers are hoping they’ll continue to appear together.
Could ‘Reacher’ Have More Spin-Offs Besides ‘Neagley’?

If the new Neagley series is popular, Prime Video will likely create more shows based on the Reacher universe. This could include a prequel series exploring Jack Reacher’s past, much like the upcoming Bosch: Start of Watch. Another possibility is a spin-off centered around a different character from the original series. Many fans particularly enjoyed Oscar Finlay, so it’s disappointing he won’t be in Season 3. A show focusing on Oscar’s story could be very interesting.
The key to the continued success of the Reacher series is maintaining the same level of excitement it’s always had. While spin-offs could be interesting, they might struggle to find an audience if Alan Ritchson isn’t a major part of them. It would be great to see him make guest appearances in other shows, but most fans would probably prefer more seasons focusing on the Reacher character himself rather than a completely new series with someone else in the lead.
People are again pointing to the success of Bosch as an example. Bosch: Legacy worked so well because it kept Harry Bosch as the main character. While the show does dedicate a significant amount of time to his daughter, Maddie (Madison Lintz), Bosch remains central to the story. This suggests that any future spin-offs of Reacher will likely need to keep Jack Reacher as the focus, or viewers might lose interest. For now, it seems likely that Reacher Season 4 will also be a hit, and that Prime Video will renew the show for many more seasons. When the series eventually ends, it will be disappointing. There’s also a good chance that Neagley could get renewed for at least another season.
It’s surprisingly difficult to name many TV shows that have spawned several truly good spin-offs. The NCIS franchise is probably the most successful example. The original NCIS is still popular, currently airing its 23rd season. While NCIS: Hawaiʻi ended after three seasons, other spin-offs have had much longer runs – NCIS: Los Angeles lasted for 14 seasons, and NCIS: New Orleans ran for 7, which is relatively long compared to how quickly many streaming shows are canceled these days.
NCIS is a bit different, though. While each spin-off follows a similar formula, it works well because the show focuses on interesting cases. But do we really need more shows like Reacher, featuring action heroes who are similar to Jack Reacher but aren’t played by Alan Ritchson? The upcoming Neagley series sounds promising because she’s a smart and compelling character, and for now, one spin-off seems like enough.
