Be warned: This article reveals major plot points from the One Piece manga! The One Piece manga is now in its final stages, with the current Elbaph Arc bringing the Straw Hat Pirates to the legendary island of the Giants. Following the intense conflict at Egghead against the Marines and the Five Elders, the crew arrives at Elbaph only to face a new threat: the Holy Knights, who are determined to destroy the island. As the Final War approaches, Imu is increasingly desperate to recruit the Giants to fight for him.
The warriors of Elbaph aren’t giving up without a fight, and Luffy and his crew are there to support the Giants. But things took a shocking turn in the latest chapter when Imu appeared during the battle. His power is unlike anything fans have witnessed before, making him a huge danger to everyone involved. Before reaching Elbaph, the story hinted at one of Imu’s main objectives.
One Piece‘s Imu Is Still After Princess Vivi

It’s been established that Imu is after Luffy, Shirahoshi, Blackbeard, and Vivi for specific reasons. But in the latest chapter, Imu’s thoughts reveal he specifically wants Vivi, linking her to her ancestor, Queen Lily. He also hints that this conflict began long ago, during the Void Century when he encountered Lily. As the ruler of Alabasta over 800 years ago and a member of the 20 Allied Nations, Lily disappeared without returning home, and it now seems the World Government was responsible.
As a huge fan, I’m completely fascinated by Lily! It turns out she was the one who hid those incredibly important poneglyphs all over the world – the ones with the real history! Imu seems to think it was a huge mistake, but honestly, it’s become the biggest thing driving the story forward. Not only do these poneglyphs tell us about the past, but four of them actually contain the coordinates to reach Laugh Tale! And it’s so interesting – Imu’s plans for Vivi seem totally tied to her connection with Lily. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
