Edward Kenway’s journey successfully blended classic stealth gameplay with the excitement of sailing the high seas – and let’s be honest, everyone loves a good pirate story! Given the current popularity of shows like One Piece, it’s no surprise Ubisoft decided to revisit this style of game.
Everyone’s been talking about a remake of this game for years, but the French publisher finally confirmed it last month. It’s officially titled Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
Now there’s word of an incoming announcement, on 16th April.
The story began with a rumor posted on ResetEra by a user named BlackBate, but Tom Henderson, a generally trustworthy source from Insider Gaming, has since confirmed it.
The game is expected to launch sometime between June and August, and it’s predicted to be a major hit this summer, even before the release of GTA 6 during the holiday season.
Ubisoft has faced some challenges recently, and they’re hoping this new project will help improve their financial situation.
We’re really excited to see how the publisher updates this remake. The Assassin’s Creed series has evolved significantly over the past ten years, and it’ll be fascinating to see which features they choose to include in the open-world sailing experience.
