Final Fantasy is the most famous name in Japanese role-playing games, and it’s likely to stay that way. Despite the series being huge and well-loved, one game consistently stands out above the rest. Released in 1997, Final Fantasy VII is a truly iconic game, and the series continues to revisit its cherished characters and unforgettable world in new and exciting ways.
The third and final game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series is still being made. But before the story of Cloud Strife wraps up, Square Enix is releasing new downloadable content that any Final Fantasy VII fan will want to check out. Surprisingly, this DLC isn’t for either of the Final Fantasy VII Remake games themselves, but for the popular online game, Final Fantasy XIV.
Final Fantasy 14 Is Getting New FF7 DLC
To celebrate the 2026 US Fan Festival, Final Fantasy XIV has added cosmetics inspired by Final Fantasy VII as downloadable content. Players can now ride Cloud’s iconic Hardy-Daytona motorcycle – the one he used to escape Midgar – as a mount, and they can also get a Red XIII minion to follow them around.
I’m so excited! They’re selling a replica of Cloud’s motorcycle right now, and it’s not just a cool collectible – it actually moves! You can grab it for $26.99, but the deal won’t last forever. After the sale, it jumps up to $29.99, so I’m definitely grabbing one while I can!
Okay, so I splurged on the Red XIII minion – it’s seriously cute! But honestly, it just… follows me around. It doesn’t do anything in the game, which is a little disappointing. I got it for $6.29, which was a good deal, but I heard the price is going up to $6.99 once the sale is over, so if you want one, you might want to grab it soon!
Besides the Final Fantasy VIIthemed cosmetics, there are other items currently discounted. These include the Aunt Til’s Neotunic set, a Tonberry costume, Orchestrion rolls, the runway walk emote, and special Easter-themed items. This sale in Final Fantasy XIV* ends on April 28th.
The 2026 US Fan Festival isn’t just about shopping; it’s a full-fledged event! The in-person celebration will be held April 24th and 25th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Expect an art contest, a chance to meet the game creators and voice actors, and live performances by The Primals, Keiko, Jason Charles Miller, and Amanda Achen. If you can’t attend in person, you can still experience everything through an official livestream.
