Hawkeye Star & More Returns in New Avengers: Doomsday Rumor Roundup

There’s been a lot of talk about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. Rumors suggest we might see funeral scenes, unexpected team-ups, and the return of some missing characters, but Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed any of this.

The movie, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, will be released on December 18, 2026. It will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.

According to James Mack, a source familiar with Marvel Studios, the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday will feature a return to the funeral scene from Avengers: Endgame. The Marvelous Geek followed up, suggesting we might see some of the same characters again. It’s currently unknown if the filmmakers will use previously cut footage from Endgame or film new scenes.

Scarlet Witch Could Be Doom’s Most Important Ally

A source on X, known as Scooper Cryptic HD QUALITY, has suggested that Scarlet Witch will play a key role in helping Doctor Doom. This information was backed up by Alex Perez, an insider from the Cosmic Circus. Additionally, reports indicate Elizabeth Olsen will be recording extra dialogue for the movie during upcoming reshoots.

Kate Bishop Confirmed, Doctor Doom’s Full Team Rumored

James Mack announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Hailee Steinfeld will reprise her role as Kate Bishop in the upcoming Doomsday film. Rumors suggest Doctor Strange, Clea, Scarlet Witch, a Peggy Carter look-alike with shapeshifting abilities, and Master Hulk will also be part of the movie. According to these reports, all five characters will be wearing costumes inspired by Doctor Doom, complete with face masks.

Heroes Currently Not in the Movie

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

According to a post on X by Scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Tom Holland is not currently involved in the upcoming Spider-Man 4. Film industry insider Jeff Sneider has reported that the movie’s events happen at the same time as those in Doomsday.

According to industry source Daniel Richtman, Brie Larson isn’t currently involved in the project. However, he notes that upcoming reshoots could potentially change that.

Don Cheadle’s War Machine

Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk
