The new disaster thriller Thrash is now streaming on Netflix, and reviews are starting to come in. The film stars Phoebe Dynevor (known for Fair Play) and follows a group of people trying to survive after a powerful hurricane floods their coastal town – with sharks adding to the danger. While some initially called it a must-see, comparing it to movies like The Shallows and Crawl, Thrash is currently receiving mixed reviews and struggling to maintain a positive score on review websites.
Currently, the movie Thrash has a 45% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 22 critic reviews. Most critics agree that while the film has some exciting moments, it doesn’t really offer anything new or different within the shark thriller genre. Some viewers found the scares enjoyable, but over half of the critics considered the movie just average.
More to come.
