While some initially called it a must-see, comparing it to movies like The Shallows and Crawl, Thrash is currently receiving mixed reviews and struggling to maintain a positive score on review websites.

Most critics agree that while the film has some exciting moments, it doesn’t really offer anything new or different within the shark thriller genre.
