Why Meagan Good Says She “Chose” Jonathan Majors Over Cat She Gave Up

Meagan Good had to let another love go when she started her romance with Jonathan Majors. 

The actress from Think Like A Man revealed she had to say goodbye to her cat, Bam Bam, when she and her partner began combining their lives.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was listening to Meagan – you know, Jonathan’s wife, they got married last March! – and she was saying that Jonathan already had two puppies when they met! Can you even imagine?! And then, get this, they added another one to the family! Three puppies! It’s the cutest thing ever, seriously. I’m obsessed with their little puppy crew!

Unfortunately, Meagan’s kitten did not seamlessly adjust to the new additions at home. 

According to the 44-year-old, “Bam Bam” was very upset and began having accidents in bed.

The actress from Harlem believed she deeply loved her cat, but eventually, caring for it became overwhelming.

Honestly, when I first realized he was leaving, my heart just sank. I immediately thought about how much I was going to miss him, and I really wished he could stay. He’s such a sweet little cat, and he means the world to me.

Because Meagan adored her and Jonathan’s new puppy, and the cat was misbehaving, she decided to rehome the cat.

They simply ran out of space in their bed, and she explained that she ultimately chose to stay with her husband.

Meagan isn’t alone in experiencing the heartbreak of rehoming a pet during a major life change. Earlier this year, Jennifer Lawrence shared that she had to find a new home for her dog, Princess Pippi Longstocking, when she and her husband, Cooke Maroney, became parents to their young sons.

As Jennifer said during a panel conversation in January, “After I had a kid, dogs became so scary.”

Although Jennifer Lawrence said her dog is now happily living with her parents, she also confessed she’s not as enthusiastic about dogs as she used to be.

Jennifer explained she’s become fearful of dogs. “It feels like I don’t even see them as pets anymore,” she said. “After one of them bit my son, I just want to get rid of all dogs.”

Unlike Meagan and Jonathan, Jennifer had a good relationship with her cat. She explained, “Cats are often misunderstood, and I feel a strong connection with mine.”
