Natasha Lyonne is sharing more insight into her recent travel mishap.
Three days after being taken off a Delta flight for not following crew instructions, the singer known for “Poker Face” explained that a sleep aid she had taken affected what happened.
Natasha shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she took a Lunesta before a red-eye flight to New York City on April 10th, hoping to get some sleep. She said she boarded the Delta flight easily with only a backpack and sneakers, looking forward to a nap.
The 47-year-old mentioned she was scheduled to be on The Drew Barrymore Show. She explained her plan was to arrive feeling refreshed and ready to go, as she was heading straight to hair and makeup for her interview with Drew Barrymore after landing.
Natasha Lyonne, known for her role in Russian Doll, was taken off a flight on April 7th, according to Page Six. Reports say she refused to buckle her seatbelt and turn off her laptop, despite crew requests, even though she was excited to chat with fellow passenger Drew Barrymore.
The plane had started moving towards the runway, but it went back to the gate so Natasha could be removed, according to reports.
On April 10th, Natasha posted on X (formerly Twitter) claiming she was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, stating, “I guess ICE had other plans & I was detained.”
She also addressed her fellow passengers, writing, “Apologies to any travelers who were delayed.”
TopMob News reached out to a rep for Delta for comment but has not heard back.
Natasha finally made it to New York City and attended the premiere of Lorne, a documentary about the creator of Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels, on April 9th. After the film, she chatted with SNL alumni Seth Meyers and current cast member Sarah Sherman, and she later shared her positive thoughts about the movie.
“Beautiful documentary on Lorne by Morgan Neville,” she wrote on X April 9. “Laughed a whole lot.”
