Michael Jackson’s Son Bigi “Blanket” Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance

Michael Jackson‘s sons are having a thriller night.

Bigi Jackson, also known as Blanket, and his brother Prince Jackson attended the Berlin premiere of the Michael Jackson biopic on April 10th. It was a rare public appearance for Bigi.

The family involvement went even further, with brothers Jermaine Jackson and Jackie Jackson joining the project, along with their cousin Jafar Jackson, who plays Michael Jackson in the film.

Bigi and Prince, Michael Jackson’s children, honored their father’s memory at a recent event. Both wore dark suit jackets decorated with a gold crown, and each added a red armband – a tribute to the armbands Michael often wore to support children’s rights.

Their sister, Paris Jackson, 28, wasn’t at the event. She had previously criticized her father, Michael, saying public portrayals of him were overly positive and didn’t show the full picture.

In August, she shared on Instagram that she reviewed an early version of the script and provided feedback on parts that felt untrue or didn’t seem right. When the writers didn’t incorporate her suggestions, she decided to disengage from the project, stating, ‘Not my problem.’ She concluded with a wish of good luck to everyone involved.

She explained that with Hollywood biopics, you have to remember it’s all entertainment. They often take liberties with the truth, and sometimes just aren’t accurate at all.

And at the end of the day, the musician said that type of behavior “doesn’t really fly with me.”

“I don’t really like dishonesty, I spoke up, I wasn’t heard, I f–ked off,” she added. “That’s it.”

Despite any concerns, Paris feels most of Michael Jackson’s fans will enjoy the new movie about his life, especially since it was made with the cooperation of his family’s estate.

She felt a large part of the movie catered to a narrow segment of her father’s fanbase who are stuck in the past. She encouraged them to enjoy it, but asked to be excluded from discussions about it.
