Tomorrow Is Xbox Game Pass’ Biggest Day of 2026 So Far

Xbox Game Pass has had a solid year for games, but it hasn’t featured a major, highly anticipated title available on its launch day – until now. Tomorrow, the service will add three new games, including a long-awaited Xbox exclusive that players can access immediately upon release. One of the additions is already being called the best game of 2025, and there’s also a new option for fans of role-playing games.

All three new games will be playable with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. However, only two of them are included with the more expensive Xbox Game Pass Premium tier. Those with the basic Xbox Game Pass Essential plan won’t have access to any of these new additions.

2025’s Best Game, the First Big Day-One Game of 2026, and a Bonus RPG

The biggest highlight is Replaced. It’s available from day one, and it’s a game fans have been eagerly waiting for since it was first announced in 2021 – originally, it was supposed to come out in 2022. Plus, it’s exclusive to Xbox Series X and PC, at least initially. It remains to be seen if the game will live up to the hype, and it’s worth remembering this is the first release from developer Sad Cat Studios. However, everything shown so far looks really good.

Supergiant Games’ Hades II is a hugely anticipated addition to Xbox Game Pass. While not available on day one of the service, this marks the first time the critically acclaimed roguelike action RPG has been offered through any subscription. It is a day-one release for Xbox Series X users, as it was previously only available on Switch and PC. On April 14th, Hades II will launch on Xbox Series X and immediately be included with Xbox Game Pass. Players can expect a top-rated experience – the game currently boasts a 95/100 score on Metacritic, making it a contender for the highest-rated game of 2025.

Many gamers might have missed it, but the RPG The Thaumaturge, released in 2024 by Fool’s Theory and 11 Bit Studios, is now available through the subscription service for the first time. The game currently has a rating of 74.

Just to clarify, Replaced won’t be available with the standard Xbox Game Pass benefits. It’s typical for games released on Game Pass on their launch day to only be included with the Ultimate or PC subscription levels.

We don’t know how long these Xbox and PC games will stay on Xbox Game Pass. However, as long as they’re available, Game Pass subscribers can buy them at a 20% discount.
