4A Games is set to reveal the next Metro game, called Metro 2039, during an Xbox livestream later this week.
You can watch the event live on YouTube on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Here are the times it will be streamed:
- North America: 10am PDT / 11am MDT / 12pm CDT / 1pm EDT
- UK/Ire: 6pm BST
- Europe: 7pm CEST / 8pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 2am (Fri) JST / 1am (Fri) AWST / 3am (Fri) AEST
4A Games is creating a new installment in the Metro series, making it the fourth major game based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. The series—which includes Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, and Metro Exodus—follows the lives of people trying to survive after a nuclear disaster, primarily within the tunnels of the Moscow subway and the surrounding areas.
Although the game was first shown at an Xbox event, Metro 2039 is still planned to come out on PlayStation 5. Previous games in the Metro series have always been released on PlayStation, so it’s likely this one will be too.
Want to prepare for Metro 2039? The Metro Saga Bundle, including Metro Redux and Metro Exodus, is currently on sale for only £4.99 or $5.99 until April 22nd, 2026. This bundle lets you play all three games released so far.
