With Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again currently streaming on Disney+, photos have surfaced showing the returns of Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron Fist, alongside Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. Colter recently shared an official photo of the three actors together on social media, noting it had been a while since they’d reunited. Jones responded with a playful comment, confirming the news that they were all back together. The only original Defender missing from the photo is Daredevil himself.

Mike Colter Confirms MCU Return With Finn Jones

A recent photo from Colter’s social media confirmed the return of three familiar characters, leaving fans wondering what’s next for the current season of Daredevil: Born Again. While it was already known that Ritter would reprise her role (and a new trailer hinted at the appearance of her daughter), the photo has sparked speculation about how these characters will be integrated into the season. Interestingly, no similar set photos emerged last year, suggesting their involvement wasn’t planned until production for Season 3 gained momentum.

Colter’s photos hint at what his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might become, particularly with his costumes resembling Luke Cage’s more recent look. In the Marvel comics, the yellow shirt and vest outfit is a newer style for Cage, worn during his time as mayor of New York City. He becomes mayor after the events of the “Devil’s Reign” storyline, following Wilson Fisk’s departure from office. The current season of Daredevil: Born Again draws inspiration from that storyline, potentially leading to a third season that mirrors the comics and sees Cage taking on the role of mayor.

It’s also possible the story of Luke Cage in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will continue directly from the ending of his previous Netflix series. At the end of Luke Cage, he’d become the owner of Harlem’s Paradise and was known as the “Sheriff” of Harlem. Recent photos of his costume match his stylish look from the series finale, hinting at where we’ll find him when the new episodes are released, likely next year.
