Marvel’s Defenders Officially Reunite on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Set

Everyone’s been talking about the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, and for good reason! The show continues to deliver exciting news, and now it’s been confirmed that some of Daredevil’s key allies – The Defenders – will be returning to help Matthew Murdock (Charlie Cox) protect Hell’s Kitchen and New York City.

Not only are they back, but they look as good as they ever did, if not better.

The Marvel-Netflix shows – starting with Daredevil, then Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist – were incredibly popular. Because fans wanted more, Disney+ is rebooting Daredevil as Born Again, and plans are underway to bring back Jessica Jones for a second season. There’s also hope that Luke Cage and Iron Fist will return, potentially reuniting the team from The Defenders.

The Defenders Are Back for Daredevil: Born Again

“Been a while,” Colter wrote on Instagram with a picture of three-fourths of the superhero faction.

Fans seem to be loving the show, and everyone is eagerly anticipating Season 2, Episode 5, especially after the success of the previous episode. Photos from the set of Season 3 are already circulating online, showing appearances by Cage, Jones, and Iron Fist. Filming is going well, with a planned release in Spring 2027, which suggests the group will likely return and that each character could even get their own spin-off series.

When Krysten Ritter was rumored to return as Jessica Jones for Disney+, fans were thrilled. This happened after Luke Cage actor Mike Colter publicly expressed his desire to reprise his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having been disappointed he hadn’t been asked. His comments ultimately led to Disney reconsidering and bringing Luke Cage back as well.

What’s Next for Daredevil: Born Again?

No pun(isher) intended, but that’s a loaded question.

There’s a lot of exciting stuff planned for the future of the series. The showrunner has even started discussing potential storylines, including a possible ’emperor’ arc for Wilson Fisk (Kingpin). They’re also considering how Daredevil, and perhaps Fisk, might eventually be involved in the upcoming multiversal conflict that will be featured in Avengers: Doomsday, which comes out in December.

On top of everything else, fans recently spotted The Watcher from Marvel’s What If…? series hiding in the background of Daredevil: Born Again, though some disagree with how he looks. With The Defenders also potentially returning, Daredevil: Born Again has captured everyone’s attention – and most fans are hoping the show continues to deliver.
