Roku Adds 6 New Free Streaming Channels to Roku Channel Service

Roku Channel users now have six more free channels to enjoy! The new additions include dedicated channels for Westerns, classic shows like Rawhide and The Beverly Hillbillies, plus popular series Tosh.0 and Ink Master. MTV en Español is also available as a new free option.

The Roku Channel is a free streaming service with channels focused on different TV shows and types of content. It’s funded by ads, so you can watch without paying a subscription fee.

The Roku Channel Gets Six New Free Streaming Channels

Here’s a rundown of the six new choices available on The Roku Channel:

You can watch the classic Western Rawhide on Channel 313. The show, which originally aired on CBS from 1959 to 1965, starred Eric Fleming as trail boss Gil Favor and a young Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates. Each episode followed Gil and Rowdy as they led cattle drives across the Old West, facing new and exciting challenges along the way.

Flipping through the channels, I landed on 314 and a real blast from the past: The Beverly Hillbillies. This sitcom, which originally aired on CBS from 1962 to 1971, is just pure fun. It centers around the Clampetts, a lovable hillbilly family who suddenly strike oil and find themselves transplanted to the opulent world of Beverly Hills. The humor comes from watching them navigate this completely new and often ridiculous lifestyle – a classic ‘fish out of water’ story, really. It’s a lighthearted look at culture clash and still holds up surprisingly well.

Channel 614 is all about Ink Master, a reality show where talented tattoo artists battle it out for a $100,000 grand prize. The show is hosted by Dave Navarro.

Joel Madden hosted the show, and the judging panel featured Chris Núñez, Oliver Peck, Ryan Ashley, Nikko Hurtado, Ami James, and DJ Tambe.

MTV en Español, found on channel 978, brings the popular music and youth programming of MTV to Spanish-speaking Latino viewers.
