Paradise season 3 confirms iconic ER star to join the cast for new episodes of post-apocalyptic drama

Julianna Margulies has joined the cast of Paradise season 3 in a recurring role.

The show, a drama set after a major disaster, finished airing its second season in March and is planned to return with a third season in 2027.

Details about what role Marcus Margulies (known from ER) will play are still being kept secret, according to Deadline, the first to report the news. The plot for the new season is also being kept under wraps.

The show ‘Paradise’ has been picked up for a third season, and actor Sterling K. Brown shared the exciting news on Instagram back in March.

In Season 2, Xavier Brown searched for his wife, Teri Okuma, amongst those who had survived on the Earth’s surface.

The season ended with many mysteries still unresolved. Xavier and Teri found their way back to Colorado, but then the bunker containing Paradise collapsed, resulting in the death of a key character.

Brown hinted at a new environmental challenge coming in season 3, telling TVLine that it will likely force the characters to take action.

The show will probably end after its third season, as the creator, Dan Fogelman, has stated he originally envisioned it lasting three seasons.

I’ve always been impressed with Julianna Margulies’ work! Beyond being so memorable as Carol Hathaway on ER, she’s consistently delivered fantastic performances in shows like The Morning Show, Billions, The Hot Zone, and even Dietland. It’s amazing to see her range!

Paradise season 1-2 are streaming exclusively on Disney+. Sign-up to Disney+ from £5.99 a month.
