10 Marvel Heroes Hulk Can’t Stand

The Hulk is renowned as the strongest being on Earth. He gained his incredible power when scientist Bruce Banner bravely jumped in front of a dangerous gamma bomb to protect a young person. This act unlocked a hidden force within him. Ever since, the Hulk has mostly wanted to be left alone, but that’s never happened. He’s clashed with nearly every superhero, and while he’s saved the world on numerous occasions, his immense strength often causes widespread damage, forcing even his allies to oppose him.

This has created a lot of bad blood between the Hulk and several heroes. Many heroes dislike the Hulk, and he feels the same way about them – especially these ten, who have caused him the most pain and trouble.

10) Thor

The conflict between Hulk and Thor boils down to this: Thor enjoys fighting powerful opponents, and Hulk is a very powerful, destructive one. Thor often enthusiastically challenges Hulk, which makes their interactions tense and often leads to fights. Because of this, Hulk generally doesn’t trust Thor and anticipates a battle whenever they meet. While they’ve worked together, their clashes are intense enough to create a difficult relationship.

9) Professor X

Professor X can be quite unpleasant, and many people have grown to dislike him. While Hulk and Professor X haven’t clashed often, their interactions haven’t been positive. Professor X has attempted to use his telepathy to calm Hulk or even ‘fix’ him, but Hulk strongly resists mental interference. The real turning point in their relationship was Professor X’s involvement with the Illuminati. Hulk holds a deep resentment towards the group for exiling him to Sakaar, and he blamed Professor X for it, even though Xavier wasn’t present when the decision was made.

8) Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is Marvel’s most powerful sorcerer, and he has a long-standing relationship with the Hulk. Though they were once teammates in the Defenders, the original version of the group wasn’t really a team of friends. Strange has often helped contain the Hulk’s power, and was involved in the decision to send Hulk away, which deeply damaged their relationship. As a result, Bruce Banner hasn’t been friendly with Doctor Strange ever since.

7) Black Panther

Black Panther is considered one of the most brilliant kings in the comic book world, always thinking several steps ahead. This often puts him at odds with the Hulk, who is known for his uncontrollable rage and the destruction it causes. Even though T’Challa wasn’t initially involved when the Illuminati sent Hulk to the planet Sakaar, Banner still deeply dislikes him. Their conflict escalated in the comic series Imperial, when Black Panther was wrongly accused of killing Hulk’s son. Though the truth eventually came out, it did little to repair their already damaged relationship.

6) Namor

Namor, the king of Atlantis, is often considered the most disliked hero in the Marvel Universe. He’s incredibly arrogant and has a history of disrespecting marriage, especially when it comes to blonde women. Known for his quick temper, he’s clashed with almost every other hero. He’s also notorious for his harsh and insulting remarks – unless the person is a blonde woman, in which case he acts inappropriately. Despite being teammates with Hulk in the Defenders and serving alongside him in the Illuminati, they frequently fought. Bruce Banner will work with Namor when necessary, but personally doesn’t care for him.

5) Spider-Man

Spider-Man is often seen as Marvel’s most down-to-earth hero, but his constant chatter can also be irritating to other heroes. This is a big reason why the Hulk doesn’t care for him. Spider-Man knows he can’t win in a direct fight against the incredibly powerful Hulk, so he tries to frustrate him, hoping to make him lose control and make a mistake. This tactic has only made the Hulk angrier, and he frequently threatens to crush Spider-Man whenever they meet.

4) Reed Richards

Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, and Bruce Banner, the Hulk, have a history of professional respect and have collaborated before. However, the Hulk doesn’t necessarily like Richards. As a key member of the Illuminati, Mister Fantastic is always trying to solve global issues, and he often views the Hulk as one of those problems. This creates tension between them, meaning even if Richards hadn’t been involved in sending the Hulk to Sakaar, their personal relationship would likely still be strained.

3) Iron Man

As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve always found the history between Tony Stark and Bruce Banner fascinating. It started years ago – apparently, Tony showed up drunk to one of Bruce’s gamma bomb presentations! Can you imagine? They ended up working together, but it wasn’t smooth sailing. They butted heads a lot, but Tony actually saved Bruce’s life by tweaking the bomb’s design to make it safer. Of course, they both became superheroes eventually, but their rivalry continued, leading to Iron Man building the Hulkbuster armor! And things get even more complicated with the Illuminati involved – it seems the Hulk has been programmed to go after Tony first, which is just wild!

2) Wolverine

Wolverine is renowned for his skills, and the Hulk is known as the strongest being around. These two characters have a long and complicated history, first crossing paths when the Canadian government sent Wolverine after the Hulk, who was battling the Wendigo. Since then, they’ve fought each other numerous times. While they share a certain level of respect, they fundamentally dislike each other due to their many conflicts and the battles they’ve endured. Their history is filled with too much fighting for them to ever be true friends.

1) Red Hulk

I’ve followed the Hulk’s story for years, and the relationship between Bruce Banner and General Ross has always been intense. It started way back when they were working on the gamma bomb, and Ross never really respected Banner, especially since his daughter started dating him. From there, Ross became obsessed with capturing the Hulk, throwing everything the military had at him. Things got even crazier when he became the Red Hulk! He started as a total enemy, but it’s been interesting seeing him evolve. Even now, though, working with the government and sometimes helping the heroes, it’s clear those two will always have a rivalry. They just can’t stand each other, no matter what!
