Okay, so as a huge Street Fighter 6 fan, I’m getting really excited! It looks like Capcom is almost done with the Year 3 characters, with Ingrid on the way. But now, thanks to some leaks online – specifically from LYCKYJ on social media and a Reddit user named RnK_Clan – it seems like we’re already getting a peek at Year 4! Apparently, Vega is going to be added as a playable character, and that’s not all! RnK_Clan also said we can expect Hagar, Gouken, and Tifa Lockhart to join the fight! Seriously, if that’s true, I can’t wait!
Okay, so there’s been a lot of talk online about who’s coming to the game next. I’m really paying attention to what RnK_Clan is saying because they correctly predicted Terry and Mai would be added way back when they announced the Year 2 pass! And LVCKYJ is someone to listen to too, because they were right about Alex being planned for Year 3. It’s exciting to see if their latest hints will pan out!
A recent leak suggests Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 might be joining the Street Fighter 6 lineup, alongside characters like Gouken and Hagar. Tifa’s fighting style, which emphasizes close-combat and martial arts, would make her a natural fit for the game.
The situation just got more interesting. YouTuber Rooflemonger says they’ve known about Tifa and Vega being planned for Street Fighter 6 for a while now. They claim a trusted source – the same one who accurately predicted Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls game – confirmed the possibility of Tifa joining the game’s roster.
As we’ve discussed in this report, Street Fighter 6 has already featured characters from other fighting games – Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury joined the lineup in 2024, followed by Mai Shiranui a few months later. However, Tifa Lockhart is special – she’s the first character from the Final Fantasy series to appear in a main Street Fighter game.
The most recent appearance of a character from Square Enix’s popular Final Fantasy RPG series in a fighting game was in 2024, when Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy 16 was added to the lineup of Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8.
Although Capcom and Square Enix haven’t officially announced it, Tifa could be the fourth character added to Street Fighter 6‘s Year 4 pass. This would coincide with the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7 next year. It could also be a smart marketing move for Square Enix, building hype for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, where Tifa plays a significant role.
Get a sneak peek at Ingrid with a new trailer before she joins the fight in Street Fighter 6. Capcom hasn’t announced when she’ll be released just yet. Street Fighter 6 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
So, here’s a little extra detail to consider: I’ve heard rumors about Tifa and Vega for a while now. Plus, there are two other names floating around, which makes it hard to know what’s true – honestly, I’m not sure what to believe! Just remember to take everything with a grain of salt until we see official trailers.

I’ve been aware of this issue for a long time, which is why I usually stay quiet until information becomes public. My source has accurately informed me about things like Terry and Mai’s appearances well before they were revealed, and even told me about Tokon a year before the official announcement, so I tend to trust their information.
