Koei Tecmo Is Absolutely Killing It Right Now as Hits Like Nioh 3 Smash Sales Expectations

With so much negativity surrounding the gaming world lately, it’s refreshing to share some positive news.

Koei Tecmo, a Japanese publisher, recently updated its financial forecast, predicting record revenue and profits. This positive change is due to much stronger sales in the last three months.

The company’s recent games have all been very successful, exceeding sales expectations. This includes Nioh 3 – the fastest-selling game in that series – Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, and notably, Pokémon Pokopia.

Sales have boosted Koei Tecmo’s profits by a remarkable 16.1%. They originally predicted a decline in profits compared to last year, but they’ve turned things around completely.

It’s important to note that the company is also doing really well in areas outside of gaming. Their overall profit has increased dramatically – by a full 50% – thanks to things like successful investments.

As a fan, it’s awesome to see how well some Japanese game companies are doing right now! Capcom is just on fire with hit after hit, and it’s surprising but great to see Konami making a comeback by really focusing on games again. Plus, Bandai Namco has been consistently crushing it with sales of their anime-based games for a long time now.

It’s going to be exciting to discover what Koei Tecmo has planned for the future. They’re releasing an updated version of Dead or Alive 6 on PlayStation 5 this summer and are working on a new Dead or Alive game, but beyond that, their upcoming projects are largely unknown.

Considering how well Dynasty Warriors: Origins performed, it’s likely we’ll hear about a new Warriors game in the future. However, the remastered version of Dynasty Warriors 3, which was announced earlier this year, is still delayed with no new release date set.
