Clayton Johnson isn’t lingering in any summertime sadness.
Even though his former fiancée, Lana Del Rey, married Jeremy Dufrene in 2024, the country singer—who competed on Taylor Frankie Paul’s short-lived season of The Bachelorette—insisted they remain on good terms.
Clayton shared on the April 22nd episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that seeing someone you truly love—someone you still care for—find happiness with another person is the best feeling. He said seeing her so happy and radiant makes him incredibly happy for her.
He acknowledged it could be a little painful, but asked, “If you truly love someone, how could you be angry about it?”
Clayton and Lana were engaged for a short time in 2020-2021, but their connection actually began years before at church. They reconnected during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Clayton believes that’s what quickly led to their engagement.
He compared the COVID pandemic to ‘dog years,’ suggesting that a single month felt like a whole year. He believes it sped things up, but also that the changes felt natural and inevitable.
They really hit it off, bonding over everything important, especially their shared passion for classic country music.
He explained that they quickly bonded over their shared dreams for the future, and he only had positive things to say about her.

The songwriter remembers working with the artist from Born to Die with fondness, but he’s choosing to keep some details private.
More than anything, I have a lot of respect for her as a person. She values her privacy, and I don’t want to share overly personal details. However, that relationship was a significant part of my life, shaped who I am, and had a real impact on my personal growth.
I’ve been following Clayton’s story closely, and I want to set the record straight about all the talk. There’s been speculation he went on The Bachelorette just to get back at Lana, who’s a big fan of the show, but Clayton himself has said that’s absolutely not true. He wants everyone to know it wasn’t about her at all!
I don’t feel any need for revenge or harbor any hatred,” he explained. “My actions weren’t about getting back at her; they were about my own well-being and healing.”
With Clayton’s search for love on television still unresolved, here’s a look at the romantic histories – both old and new – of other stars from The Bachelor franchise…

Status: Dating
Before The Golden Bachelor even started airing, Mel Owen faced some criticism. He appeared on the MGoBlue Podcasts With Jon Jansen and said he wouldn’t consider women over 60, and also expressed a preference for contestants who hadn’t had hip replacements or didn’t wear wigs.
Though his longtime partner, Peg Munson, is also in her sixties, their relationship is full of energy and excitement. The former NFL player described her to Glamour magazine as being remarkably high-spirited.
Even though he didn’t kneel during his final game in November 2025, the athlete—who is also a lawyer—still proposed with a Neil Lane diamond ring, explaining, “This symbolizes our dedication to each other and gives us the space to plan our future together.”

Status: Engaged
Spencer Conley, who made a good impression on Jenn Tran with his friendly personality on The Bachelorette, found romance on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise. He shared a post with Jess Edwards (who previously tried to connect with Joey Graziadei on The Bachelor) hinting they were falling for each other—a common way of saying they aren’t quite ready to say “I love you” yet. In August 2025, Spencer posted on Instagram Stories that he felt like he’d “already won.”
Jess echoed the sentiment, posting on social media, “Just really happy about this guy and everything!”
They were overjoyed – after choosing each other over the $250,000 prize, they got engaged and were then surprised with a $190,000 check as they left.
“Everything that we’ve been through,” Jess said, “has led us to this exact moment.”
After falling in love, Jess moved to Dallas. She shared during Mel’s After the Finale Rose special in November 2025 that she would be relocating to Texas within a few weeks.

Status: Dating
Let me tell you, as someone who follows these relationships closely, I was so excited to see Bailey Taylor Brown declare her recent date with Jeremy Simon her ‘best first date ever!’ She shared it on Instagram after taking him out during the 10th season of Paradise. But could it also be their last? These two have had a rollercoaster ride – Bailey originally competed for Grant Ellis’ affection, and Jeremy almost won over Jenn. They just overcame their biggest fight yet when Bailey found out he’d had doubts about letting Susie Evans go. Talk about drama!
Their romance continued to blossom while they were in Costa Rica. Although they didn’t make it to the end of Bachelor in Paradise, they decided to keep dating after the show finished filming. They’ve even met each other’s families and are making plans to live in the same city.
In a September 2025 Instagram post, Bailey expressed how fortunate she felt to have met her partner and shared her excitement for the future.

Status: Dating
It looks like things are still going strong between Andrew Spencer, who was on Katie Thurston’s season of Paradise, and Alexe Godin from Grant’s season. Just six days after Andrew publicly called Alexe his “mon amour” (my love) on Instagram in August 2025, she responded by calling him “mon chéri” (my dear) in a post of her own.
Even though they picked love instead of the $250,000 prize on the Bachelor in Paradise finale, they still received $125,000 as a parting gift.
“I can’t believe this,” Alexe exclaimed. “I’m leaving with money, but more importantly, I’m leaving with love.”
The show will feature Alexe and Andrew’s exciting news: they’re moving to Chicago together!
In September 2025, she shared on Instagram that she’d met someone she connected with, saying she was excited to build a life together with them.

Status: Split
During the finale of Bachelor in Paradise, a conflict arose when Sean McLaughlin claimed Kat Izzo had hidden a laptop and was secretly corresponding with a former boyfriend. Kat, a nurse practitioner, firmly denied contacting her ex while on the show.
She asked if they were still together before this happened. He replied that they were, explaining he hadn’t expected to meet anyone else.
Despite being eliminated before the finale of Paradise, Kat and Dale continued their relationship. The show recently shared that the pair, who both previously appeared on The Bachelor – Kat on Zach Shallcross’ season and Dale on Clare Crawley’s – have been traveling the country together and are making plans for a future together, including potentially moving closer to each other.
Dale wrote under Kat’s August 2025 Instagram post that things were difficult at times, but they got through it as a team, and he wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.
But their journey came to a close in early 2026.
Kat mentioned on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast in January that he wasn’t willing to move from New York City.
She said he didn’t see San Diego as a place where he could advance his career. She admitted she never fully understood his reasons for leaving and wasn’t sure what motivated his decision.

Status: Just friends—for now
After leaving season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima (who was a finalist on Golden Bachelor) seemed to be hitting it off, even sharing a video about creating new memories together. However, Leslie, who once inspired musician Prince, isn’t certain she wants to pursue a romantic relationship with Gary.
She shared that she and Gary talk constantly. Appearing on Bachelor Happy Hour in August 2025, she described him as one of her closest friends, someone she turns to when she needs help. He’s a calming influence, and they always support each other and have each other’s backs.
Even though they live far apart – she’s in Minnesota and he’s in California – she’s still optimistic about things. She explained that, for her, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a friendship first. She wants to be with someone she considers her best friend as they get older.

Status: Just friends
Kim Buike, a frontrunner on Golden Bachelorette, has found love with Faith Martin, who previously received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner on The Bachelor. Despite being eliminated on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, the pair are still together. Faith shared a video on Instagram in August 2025 showing Kim enjoying a date with her in Washington.
In the end, they realized they were better suited as friends than as a couple.
Faith shared in a September 2025 Instagram video that she and this person talk about two or three times a week, even though he lives five and a half hours away. She clarified they’re not in a romantic relationship and never were, but they did have a good connection while filming their show.

Grant initially connected with twenty-five women on The Bachelor, but ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa. Sadly, the couple broke up less than three months after their proposal was shown on television.
Grant announced on Instagram on June 13th that he and Juliana have decided to break up. He explained that they both tried their best and cared deeply for each other, but after careful consideration, they realized they weren’t compatible for a lasting relationship.

Joan Vassos, who was a contestant on The Golden Bachelor and later became the first Golden Bachelorette, is engaged! After appearing on Gerry Turner’s season and then leading her own, she accepted a proposal from Chock Chapple on The Golden Bachelorette.
During the November 2024 finale of The Golden Bachelorette, Joan shared a hopeful message: ‘We’re proof that even later in life, there’s always hope.’ Moments before Chock proposed in Bora Bora, she told him, ‘I’ve waited for this moment, in this beautiful place, to tell you that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you – waking up with you every morning and kissing you goodnight.’
Even though they’re currently in a long-distance relationship, they’re gradually starting to plan their future together.
Joan explained in a February 2026 Instagram Q&A that she and her partner are planning their 2027 wedding around their children’s schedules. ‘Our kids are also starting to plan their own weddings,’ she said, ‘so we want to make sure our dates don’t conflict.’

During the finale of season 21 of The Bachelorette, it seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on The Bachelor, had found love with Devin Strader. However, Jenn later shared during the After the Final Rose special in September 2024 that Devin distanced himself from her immediately after filming ended.
Jenn explained to Jesse Palmer that he had strongly declared his love for her, but the very next day acted as if those feelings never existed. She said all the promises and affection he’d expressed were suddenly gone.
The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective. In the video, he took responsibility for his actions and detailed the reasons behind their breakup, which he had initially discussed in a 15-minute phone call.
Jenn said he ended their relationship during a phone call in August, but he insisted she pressed him for answers when he was trying to tell her in person.
He said he hadn’t seen another option, especially since he wanted to tell her face-to-face. Ultimately, she made him reveal it sooner than he’d planned.
Jenn then met Sasha Farber while competing on Dancing With the Stars, and the two became partners both on and off the dance floor. They continued dancing together even after being eliminated from the show in October 2024, but ultimately ended their relationship in 2025.

Greg Grippo, who appeared on Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, began dating Victoria Fuller from Bachelor in Paradise in November 2022. They announced their relationship on the season eight finale of Bachelor in Paradise, but Greg revealed in April 2024 that they had broken up.

Before Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealed they were dating on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise, Victoria had broken up with her costar, Johnny DePhillipo, ending their engagement.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s love story – it was truly captivating! They got engaged on national television during the finale of The Golden Bachelor last November, and then celebrated with a beautiful, televised wedding ceremony in January. Sadly, their marriage has ended in divorce.
However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.
Gerry and Theresa have been having open and honest conversations about their relationship and living arrangements. In an appearance on Good Morning America in April 2024, they announced they’ve mutually decided to get a divorce.
They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.
In April 2025, Gerry shared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he was seeing someone and things were progressing nicely.

Tennis star Joey has found love! After dating 32 women, he proposed to project manager Kelsey Anderson during the March 2024 season finale. He told Kelsey, “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” and shared that her energy made him incredibly happy – something he’d never felt before. Joey also expressed that meeting Kelsey showed him how truly beautiful life could be, and he’s excited to build a future with her.

John Henry Spurlock, who competed for Charity Lawson’s affection on The Bachelor, and Kat Izzo, from Zach Shallcross’ season, found a connection on Bachelor in Paradise, though it took a while to develop. John Henry proposed with a Neil Lane diamond, telling Kat she was everything he was looking for. However, shortly after the show’s finale, they announced their split. In a joint statement on Instagram, they explained that their differing career goals led them to realize they weren’t a long-term match, but they were thankful for the support they received from family, friends, and fans.

Eliza Isichei, who previously dated Clayton Echard, is engaged to Aaron Bryant! Despite feeling anxious about a Paradise engagement, Eliza happily said yes to Aaron’s proposal by the ocean. She was especially touched that Aaron asked her mother for her blessing, admitting she was so emotional she couldn’t control what she said.
However, the couple later announced their split. After returning from Mexico, they experienced some difficulties, and ultimately decided to end their engagement. They shared on social media in December 2023 that they were parting ways amicably, with positivity and respect for each other.

Despite previously expressing disappointment that her boyfriend, Aven Jones, hadn’t proposed in a traditional way—something he had apparently been ready to do on The Bachelorette with Rachel Recchia—Kylee Russell accepted Aven’s proposal to try and make their relationship work on Paradise. Although she had already picked out an engagement dress, she felt it was the right decision, stating that love requires taking chances. However, just two days after the season finale aired in December 2023, Kylee announced on Instagram that the relationship had ended due to Aven’s infidelity. Aven later apologized, admitting he had made serious mistakes and hurt Kylee.

Charity Lawson is thrilled with how her season of The Bachelorette ended! She hinted to TopMob News, “I am happy with how this season turns out!” – a statement that didn’t quite capture the excitement of the finale. During the final rose ceremony, Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, declaring their love was “perfect” and asking her to marry him.
Though they’re planning a wedding for 2025 or 2026, Charity will first be hitting the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars. Dotun surprised her with the news on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, saying, “I know you love to dance, and we’ve talked about this opportunity. I’m so happy to tell you that you’re going to be on Dancing With the Stars!”

I was so thrilled to see Zach finally get his happy ending! After a bit of a rocky journey, especially with those Fantasy Suite dates, he proposed to Kaity Biggar in March 2023. He told her he was completely in love with her and that she was his world – it was such a sweet moment! Then, in July 2023, they announced they were officially roommates, which felt like another huge step for them. As a fan, I’m really happy to see them building a life together!
Kaity and her partner got married on May 23, 2025, in a small, intimate chapel ceremony. They had originally planned a bigger wedding, but Kaity realized it wasn’t necessary. As she shared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast in June 2025, she wanted to focus on what truly mattered: their love and connection, and she felt she was getting too caught up in minor details.
Honestly, what really sealed the deal for me was the ceremony location. My aunt, who signed me up to compete for Zach’s heart, actually found this amazing little chapel near Austin where we had the ceremony. It was just… perfect. It felt so right and really made the moment special.

Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who seemed like a promising couple after meeting on Bachelor in Paradise, have broken up. Despite a strong connection – Danielle had previously experienced loss with the death of her fiancé, and Michael is a single father to his son James – the pair split after about a year of dating, with Danielle moving to Ohio to be with Michael. Michael explained on a podcast that while they loved each other, they weren’t ultimately compatible, and he’s mourning the loss of the future they had planned together.

Brandon Jones proposed to Serene Russell on season seven of Paradise, telling her he would love her forever. Sadly, their relationship didn’t last. Just five months after getting engaged on the show, the couple announced their split in a May 2023 Instagram post. They explained that trying to work through their issues privately had been difficult due to the public attention, and that while they cared deeply for each other, the breakup was painful. They asked for privacy and kindness during this difficult time. Brandon had previously competed for Michelle Young’s affection, while Serene had dated Clayton Echard.

Pilot Rachel and contractor Tino Franco ended their engagement after he kissed someone else while their season of the show was still airing. Tino later admitted on the podcast The Viall Files that he deeply regrets his actions. He said it was unfair to Rachel, that he’s still ashamed of it, and wishes he could have handled things differently.

Susie Evans and Clayton Echard’s relationship, which played out on The Bachelor in 2022, had a complicated ending. After Susie initially turned Clayton down in the finale, they briefly reconnected, but ultimately broke up six months later. Susie has explained that the split was necessary for her own well-being, noting that she wasn’t truly happy and felt like she was losing herself. In a blog post, she shared that while they shared good times, she wasn’t living as her best self and needed to prioritize her own growth.
Susie then began dating Justin Glaze from Bachelor Nation, but they ended their relationship in August 2024.

Michelle, an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, received a proposal and a $200,000 check for a future home from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, on a reality show. However, the couple ultimately split six months after the show’s finale in December 2021, realizing they weren’t a good long-term match. Nayte later admitted on a podcast that their relationship had many challenges and that ending things without an in-person conversation was a mistake. Michelle later began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they became engaged the following year, marrying in Minnesota in June 2025.

Fans were really rooting for Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian as a couple, imagining a happy future together. However, the Bachelor in Paradise season seven pair only lasted a few months. In a joint statement released in January 2022, Maurissa (who previously dated Peter Weber) and Riley (a contestant on Tayshia Adams’ season) announced they were breaking up. They explained that they both needed to focus on personal growth and hadn’t anticipated this outcome.

Status: Split
The first same-sex couple to get engaged on Bachelor in Paradise – during season six – revealed they had broken up in 2019, announcing the split on Halloween.
We’ve always deeply loved and cared for each other, and prioritizing our individual well-being is important to us. With love and sadness, we’ve decided to take a break and focus on growing as individuals. We believe this is the best path forward for both of us in the long run, and right now, it means going our separate ways, as shared in a joint statement on Instagram.

Despite a breakup during season seven of Bachelor in Paradise, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer realized they were meant to be together. After initially living in San Diego, the couple recently bought a house in Noah’s hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Abigail announced the exciting news on Instagram in July 2023, joking that they were entering their ‘Chip and Joanna Gaines era.’ They’re now planning their wedding after Noah proposed in San Diego in August 2023.

Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who first connected on reality TV, decided to have a spontaneous courthouse wedding in October 2022. They were engaged after leaving Paradise, and wanted to practice before their planned, larger ceremony in September 2023. Serena, now co-host of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with Joe, shared the news online, joking that who wouldn’t want to get married twice! Joe Amabile gained initial fame on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise and finding a lasting connection with Serena.

Kenny Braasch proposed to Mari Pepin with a Neil Lane diamond ring during the 2021 finale of Paradise, declaring his deep love for her and saying he couldn’t imagine life without her. Mari, who first appeared on The Bachelor and captured Matt’s attention, relocated from Maryland to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago to start their life together. Before their November 2023 wedding – a 65-person ceremony held on a beach in Puerto Rico – the couple solidified their commitment with matching tattoos during a May 2023 vacation to the Bahamas. Kenny was previously eliminated from Paradise by Tayshia Adams in week five.

Status: Married
Becca, who starred on The Bachelorette, and Thomas Jacobs, a contestant from Katie Thurston’s season, found love on season seven of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. They briefly broke up during filming but got back together afterward.
In May 2022, they announced their engagement, revealing that Becca had proposed. She told TopMob News she hoped their decision would empower others to break with tradition. Thomas returned the gesture by proposing to her in October of the same year. They welcomed their first child, a son named Benson, in September 2023. Becca shared on Instagram that she and Thomas were overwhelmed with love for their baby.
Just weeks after Benson’s birth, the couple spontaneously tied the knot on October 13th.
