Disco Elysium Follow-Up Remains Both Promising and Controversial in Latest PS5 Glimpse

ZA/UM continues to face ongoing issues related to its internal management and the creative direction of Zero Parades: For Dead Spies, stemming from problems that arose after the success of Disco Elysium.

The game aims to prove itself through gameplay, launching first on PC and then on PS5 later this year, and it’s clearly inspired by Disco Elysium. You can find more information on the PlayStation Blog, and a new trailer is available to watch.

You’ll take on the role of Hershel Wilk, codenamed Cascade – a retired spy pulled back into action for a critical mission. To succeed, he needs to reunite his old team, the ‘Whole Sick Crew,’ which consists of six skilled members, excluding himself.

The game will use a similar gameplay style and investigative approach as Disco Elysium, presented with an isometric viewpoint. The developers have also revealed details about the characters, including their backgrounds and images.

Vespar

Vespar is one of Portofiro’s top police investigators, a member of the elite carabineros. He has strong connections with both the city’s officials and underworld informants, making him a great source of secret information.
