Nic Vansteenberghe has got a text—but it might not be from who you think.
A former contestant on Love Island USA shared that he remains close with three people from his season seven cast: Pepe Garcia Gonzalez, Chris Seeley, and the season winner, Bryan Arenales. Arenales recently faced criticism from his ex, Amaya Espinal, who claimed he ended their relationship via text message after they became intimate.
As Nic mentioned in a recent interview with Erin Lim Rhodes of TopMob News at the CELSIUS Soccer Classic in Los Angeles, his girlfriend is Olandria Carthen.
Nic and Olandria have been dating for almost a year, ever since they met on the Peacock dating show. However, figuring out when to celebrate their first anniversary is tricky. They were filming in Fiji without phones for most of the summer, and they didn’t become a couple until near the end of the show.
Nic explained that they weren’t sure exactly when their anniversary was, but they figured they’d celebrate after a year, marking it as their first real challenge as a couple. He admitted they hadn’t even known the date.
As the 25-year-old put it, “Maybe we’ll have, like, four one-years.”
Nic hasn’t revealed how they’re celebrating, but jokingly said that Olandria will definitely get everything she wishes for as a gift.
Nic and Olandria found love on Love Island, but Nic has some advice for the new contestants starting season eight on June 2nd.
He advised TopMob to prepare not only themselves, but also their families and friends back home, explaining that they’ll likely be much more involved than expected.

He also emphasized the need for self-care before entering the villa, saying, “Go to therapy and hit the gym. You’re going to have a challenging experience, especially considering how dramatic the last season was, so hopefully this one will be even more exciting.”
His time on Love Island has opened doors to exciting new projects and partnerships, like his collaboration with CELSIUS to promote their new ELECTRIC VIBE flavor – a limited-edition Sparkling Tropical Freeze. The flavor seems perfect for him, as he says he starts each day feeling full of energy and excitement.
He’s excited about the possibility of being on TV more often. With Maura Higgins, another star from Love Island, joining season 35 of Dancing With the Stars, he’s hoping ABC will reach out to him too.
“I’m answering yes, yes!” he added. “For sure.”

Read on for a check in with more couples from the Love Island franchise.

Although the couples from Love Island UK season four left the show together in 2018, their relationships didn’t last, and they’ve all since moved on.
In July 2025, Ellie shared the news of her engagement to a boyfriend she hasn’t named publicly. The couple had been dating for about a year before getting engaged.

Uma and Wil first connected on season 11 of Love Island UK. After Wil was eliminated from the show, Uma chose to leave with him, following his departure after being chosen by Reuben Collins.
In July 2025, a year after moving in together, Uma revealed she and Wil were getting married. She shared the news on Instagram, posting a picture of her engagement ring and writing, “We’ve been keeping a secret!”
For the reality star, staying on Love Island after Wil’s exit didn’t seem like an option.
She explained on the Not My Bagg podcast that her decision was immediate and easy. “I just knew I wanted to be with Wil,” she said.
She told Lisa and Joe Baggs that she’s started seeing someone new. It took her a long time to feel as comfortable with someone as she did with her ex, Wil. With only two weeks remaining in the situation, she didn’t want to pretend to have feelings she didn’t, and preferred to be upfront about how she felt.

Rumors of a split between Amaya and Bryan began circulating when they unfollowed each other on Instagram just before the season seven reunion aired in August 2025. Sadly, Amaya, who often refers to herself as a ‘sensitive gangster,’ confirmed the breakup two days later.
She explained on Instagram that after leaving the villa, it was obvious they were heading in different directions. She felt their goals didn’t match, and a relationship should be a partnership. You don’t need to experience everything firsthand to understand something’s true nature.

Olandria and Nic were the only couple who were together from the very beginning and made it to the final round. Throughout the show, they kept viewers guessing as they explored other potential connections and weren’t always sure if they should be just friends or a couple.
Olandria explained in the finale, “I believe a strong relationship starts with friendship—getting to know someone without any pressure or expectations.” She realized that sometimes the person who has been there for you all along is the one you’re meant to be with.
The runners-up wondered if they were meant to be together from the start. Nic shared, “What was so special about our connection was that we didn’t see it right away. We both came into the show interested in other people, but I always had feelings for you.” They faced unexpected challenges and were even briefly removed from the show. But when Olandria opened the car door for Nic when he was leaving, it felt like a sign. They were then given a chance to connect and discovered a bond they hadn’t realized was there.
Now, everyone is wondering what the future holds for Nic and Olandria.
Nic shared at the reunion that they and their partner prefer to move at their own pace and don’t feel rushed by external expectations. They’re enjoying trips together and already have more dates in the works.

Okay, seriously, Iris and Pepe were EVERYTHING! I was SO glad they finally got together, and it was the best because they actually built a real connection as friends first. During the finale, Iris said my heart melted when she explained how Pepe was her closest friend when she first arrived, and now she can’t wait to see where things go outside the villa! They finished fourth, and at the reunion, they were officially exclusive – I was screaming! But then… the drama. People noticed they unfollowed each other on Instagram and everyone started panicking and speculating they’d broken up! It was a rollercoaster, honestly, but I’m still rooting for them!
He confirmed their breakup on Aug. 28.

Among Kordell and Serena’s many long-term goals? Sticking together.
And the Love Island USA season six winners are still very much in love.
Serena shared a heartfelt birthday message to Kordell on Instagram in May 2025, expressing how deeply in love she still is with him after nearly a year together. She wrote about how proud she is to watch him pursue his dreams and become the man he’s meant to be, and how excited she is for many more birthdays together. She thanked him for being an amazing boyfriend, partner, and friend, and for bringing so much happiness into her life.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to see couples find lasting love, and Leah and Miguel from Love Island USA season six are a wonderful example! They were runners-up, but more importantly, they’re still going strong. Miguel recently shared that things are just continuing to improve for them, and Leah wholeheartedly agrees. It’s so lovely to see their connection thriving!
Leah shared a heartfelt birthday message for Miguel on Instagram in March 2025, describing him as a constant source of warmth and happiness. She expressed deep gratitude for his presence in her life, saying he brought love, peace, and joy to everything. She playfully noted that he could make even the most mundane activities fun, and that he seemed too good to be true – like a character from a movie. Leah finished by saying Miguel has a kind and genuine soul, always wanting the best for others.

JaNa and Kenny finished third on Love Island USA season six in 2024, but they split up in July 2025 after dating for about a year, according to TopMob News.
The news came as a shock to fans, who adored their sweet tributes to one another online.
He celebrated her birthday in December 2024 with a sweet Instagram post, calling her his ‘Pookie Bear,’ ‘Love,’ ‘Heart,’ and ‘Nay Nay.’ He shared how grateful he was to have supported her over the past few months as she pursued her goals.
He went on, saying her smile brightened every space she entered. Even when all eyes were on her, she always made everyone around her feel special and valued. He thought she was equally beautiful inside and out, which was why he often found himself lost in thought while watching her. He felt incredibly fortunate to have her in his life.
I added Jana to the plans for Kenny’s birthday in February 2025, along with a heartfelt message: “You’re not just my best friend, you’re my safe place. I love sharing life with you. Your love lets me be myself around you, and I’m forever grateful for that.”

Josh and Sophie both previously searched for love on Love Island—Josh finished third with Lauren Richardson in 2015, and Sophie joined the show five years later. They found success when they reunited on Love Island: All Stars in 2024, placing third again.
She posted on Instagram that February, writing, “This is just the beginning.” She also expressed her gratitude, saying that the support they’d received meant everything to them.
And she was correct that it was only the start of their forever journey.
Josh celebrated his first anniversary in March 2025 with a sweet Instagram post. He playfully wrote about how lucky he was that his partner had put up with him, jokingly warning that there was a lifetime of it to come! He ended the message with a loving ‘Love you always’.

The winners of the 2021 season of Love Island UK continued their relationship outside of the show, starting in August 2021. Their commitment was famously tested when the show sent the islanders to Casa Amor during the seventh season.
Millie and Liam announced they were splitting up on social media in July 2022, but they got back together about a year later. Now, they share updates about their life—including trips, fitness routines, and dates—on both social media and their podcast, which is also named after them.

The couple met and fell in love on season two of Love Island USA, which aired in the summer of 2020, but they announced they were splitting up the next January.

I was so invested in Zac and Elizabeth from the very first season of Love Island USA – they were the original couple, paired up on day one and seemed unbreakable! It was really sad to hear they broke up at the end of 2019, but Zac explained it on Instagram, saying it was a mutual decision and they just realized they wanted different things in life. It was a pretty mature way to handle it, honestly, but still disappointing as a fan!
Elizabeth said she was disappointed things didn’t work out as she’d hoped, but acknowledged that life doesn’t always go as planned.
However, she found love again—getting engaged to Gianni Settino in December 2024.
In a July 2024 Instagram post, she jokingly announced to viewers of Love Island USA that she’s found love – five years after the show originally aired.

The runners-up from the first season of Love Island USA broke up in late November 2019 after dating for several months. The lacrosse player announced the split on Instagram, saying, “Alex and I are no longer together. Sometimes things just don’t work out.”
Alex acknowledged that going through heartbreak is difficult. They described their relationship as a beautiful, fairytale romance, but admitted that not all relationships last.

Though they didn’t win Love Island USA, the popular couple gave their relationship a try despite living far apart, making an effort to see each other during the holidays. However, in a July 2020 YouTube video, Caro revealed she had ended things. She explained that she felt a lack of commitment from his side, which ultimately led to her decision to break up with him.
In October 2023, Caro surprised everyone by announcing she had secretly married Rene Lacad the previous month. Then, in December, she shared wonderful news: she and Rene were expecting a daughter. Baby Amina arrived in April 2024.
In a Mother’s Day 2025 Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude to Amina, writing, ‘Thank you for letting me be your mom – it’s the best thing ever.’

One of the most surprising pairings on the U.S. version of the show happened when Kyra decided to leave in hopes of reconnecting with Cashel, even after she’d previously eliminated him. However, she was disappointed to learn he’d already come back, and sadly, the couple broke up in October 2019.
Kyra and Cashel briefly got back together by late November, but they ultimately broke up for good in February 2020.
He said on the NoFilter podcast that they really tried to make things work, but they’ve simply grown apart. He also admitted he believes she blocked his phone number.
Kyra continued to appear on reality TV, including shows like Match Me If You Can (2021), The Challenge: USA (2022, where Cashel also competed), and Love Island Games (2023). However, she found a lasting relationship outside of the shows with Tal Sahar, a dental student and former basketball player, in 2024.
Court records show Cashel was arrested in Utah in May 2025 for domestic violence and assault. He then faced additional charges of assault and domestic violence the next month.
Cashel has denied the accusations, according to NBC News. His lawyer, Andrew K. Deesing, stated that Cashel and his family are going through a very challenging period and asked for privacy while they work to clear his name. Deesing added that it’s too early in the process to offer any further details.

Even though many people—both on the show and across the country—doubted they’d last, Weston and Emily from the first season of the show did try dating in real life for a while before eventually splitting up.
She announced in a May 2020 YouTube video that she and Weston had broken up. “I’m single now,” she said, explaining that their relationship had been difficult, particularly due to the distance while she was in college. She described it as a challenging experience with many ups and downs.

The winning couple from season 10 of Love Island UK broke up just two months after leaving the show, in October 2023.
According to Sammy, the breakup came as a “total shock.”
He explained in an Instagram Story that they’d had a personal discussion, but it hadn’t been fully resolved because Jess was traveling and they hadn’t been able to talk face-to-face. He wanted to make it clear that he hoped they could work things out and believed addressing the situation directly was the right thing to do.
Even though things didn’t go as planned today, Sammy shared that he thinks Jess is a wonderful person and truly hopes she finds happiness.
I was so excited when Sammy joined Love Island: All Stars in early 2025, and I really rooted for him and Elma Pazar when they got together! Sadly, things started to look shaky for them in June, and rumors of a breakup began circulating. It was a real shame.

The first-ever winter contestants of Love Island quickly formed a strong connection and remained a couple, even after leaving the show and facing challenges.
They moved in together in 2020, but called it quits three years later.
Paige and Finley remain friends, though she explained in June 2023 on Love Island: After Sun that they grew apart. Later, in August 2024, Finley introduced a new girlfriend on Instagram. While they initially kept her identity a secret, The Sun reported in June 2025 that he is now dating Jess Hale.

Siannise and Luke, who were finalists on Winter Love Island in 2020, dated for around a year after meeting on the show, but they split up in November 2021.
However, he’s since found love again and got engaged to Chelsea Menna less than a year later in 2022.

The contestant earned a lot of negative attention in the U.K. after choosing Molly over Shaughna Phillips while at Casa Amor. Viewers ultimately voted both him and Molly off the show.
Although they were together for three years after leaving the island, they split up in 2023.
The next year, both Molly and Callum appeared on Love Island: All Stars. Molly paired up with Tom Clare and they won the season. Callum found romance with Jess Gale, and they came in second place. Although Callum and Jess broke up in 2024 and he is now dating Yasmin Deplidge, Molly and Tom are still together.

Nas began season six as a popular contestant, but he lost fans’ support after ending his relationship with Demi Jones and pursuing a connection with Eva following Casa Amor.
Despite being eliminated from the show, Nas and Eva continued dating and officially became a couple in July 2020.
After rumors began circulating in August 2023 that Eva and Nas were engaged—fueled by a ring she was seen wearing—Nas announced in March 2024 that they had broken up.
Nas announced on Instagram that he and Eva have decided to separate. He explained that the split was friendly and a mutual decision, with no conflict or wrongdoing involved.
I was really saddened to hear the news, but he shared that they’ve been trying to make things work for the last few months. Ultimately, they both agreed this was the best path forward, and thankfully, they’re both feeling okay about it.
Nas went on to appear on Love Island: All Stars in early 2025, but ultimately left the villas solo.

A surprising couple formed during the winter season of the show finished in third place, but they broke up a few months after filming ended.
Demi explained to MailOnline in June 2020 that she and her partner had ended their relationship. While she felt the split originated more from his side, they parted ways amicably. She said the distance between them, combined with the restrictions of lockdown, created a strain, and a lack of communication ultimately led them to grow apart.
Luke and Lucie Donlan from season five of the show became a couple and announced their relationship in July 2020. They got engaged in 2021.
Demi was a contestant on the 2024 season of Love Island: All Stars, and that’s where she met Luis Morrison. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last, and they split up later in the year.

The quiet couple from season six finished in fourth place and dated for a few months afterward, but they split up in June 2020.
Jess announced on Instagram that she and Ched have separated, but they remain friends and she wishes him well. She also thanked everyone for their support since leaving the show.

It’s always disappointing when a winning couple doesn’t last, isn’t it? Greg and his partner were fan favorites who won season five of the show after connecting just weeks before the finale – especially surprising since Greg joined the villa relatively late. Sadly, they split up only a few weeks after winning.
Following a bit of public discussion about the breakup – reportedly initiated by Greg, a rugby player living in Ireland, through a text message – Amber shared on the show Loose Women that she believes the challenges of their careers and the distance between them were always potential issues. She admitted they were aware of these difficulties, and while she’d hoped they could overcome them, she’s accepted that the relationship simply didn’t work out.
Greg explained on RTE’s The Late Late Show that she lives in the UK and is in high demand, with many brands and events wanting to work with her. He added that he chose to return to Ireland to focus on his own career.
However, he found a new connection and kicked off 2025 by proposing to his love Jeanni Mulder.

Their relationship began with a lot of excitement, and the Instagram star and boxer quickly became the most stable couple on season five of the show. That’s why everyone was so shocked when they didn’t win!
Molly-Mae and her partner announced their engagement in July 2024, just six months after welcoming their daughter, Bambi. However, she unexpectedly revealed their breakup the following month, in August 2024.
It breaks my heart to share that Tommy and I have decided to go our separate ways. I’ll always cherish the most important thing in my life – our incredible daughter. We brought her into this world together, and she’ll always be my absolute priority. I’m so grateful for her.
In May 2025, during an episode of her Amazon Prime show, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, she shared that she and Tommy were trying to make their relationship work again.

This couple was one of the most talked-about pairs from season five, facing a lot of ups and downs. Despite finishing in fourth place, they surprised many by continuing their relationship after the show ended in 2019.
Maura shared the secrets to her successful relationship on UK’s This Morning: trust each other, don’t believe everything you read, and most importantly, stay humble. ‘You just need to stay grounded,’ she explained.
However, the pair broke up in March 2020.
Maura announced on Instagram that she and Curtis have decided to go their separate ways. She expressed gratitude for the support they received while on and after the show Love Island, noting they shared a wonderful time together. Curtis continued to appear on Love Island spin-offs, including Love Island: Games and Love Island: All Stars, where he and Ekin-Su finished third. However, that relationship also ended after a few months.
Ekin-Su announced on Instagram in May 2025 that she and Curtis have decided to break up, according to People magazine. She explained it was a difficult decision made with a lot of love and respect for each other. She added that Curtis is a wonderful person and she will always treasure their memories together, both during and after their time on the show.

Almost a year after winning Love Island season eight in 2022, Davide announced that he and Ekin-Su had split up.
In June 2023, he announced on Instagram that he and Ekin-Su are no longer a couple. He expressed gratitude for their shared experiences and wished her well, requesting privacy and respect for both of them during this challenging time. He also stated he will continue to support Ekin-Su.
Not long after, the pair rekindled their romance. However, they ended up calling it quits again.
In a January 2024 Instagram post, Ekin-Su shared that the past year and a half with Davide had been full of highs and lows, like any relationship. While they both wanted to stay together and cared for each other, she recently decided to end things and move on. She acknowledged that breakups are difficult for everyone and asked for privacy, adding that she cherished the time and memories they shared, according to screenshots from Cosmopolitan UK.
Both Davide and Ekin-Su found love again after their time on reality TV. In the summer of 2024, Davide started seeing Iris Au. Ekin-Su briefly dated Curtis after they finished third on Love Island: All Stars in early 2025, but they broke up a few months later.

Although Ovie arrived during the Casa Amor episodes and India joined even later, they quickly became a fan-favorite couple and made it to the final three on season five of the show in 2019.
However, the professional basketball player and the model quietly parted ways later that year.
It’s definitely been hard, but breakups are never easy,” she said to MailOnline. “It’s even tougher when everyone knows about it, but I’ll get through it. I’m really grateful for my close friends who have been taking great care of me.”
In early 2025, India appeared on Love Island: All Stars but left the show single.

Lucie and Joe initially connected on the first day of season five. However, after Joe was eliminated from the show, Lucie dated several other contestants and even confessed strong feelings for Tommy, who was already in a relationship. That’s why fans were so surprised when they announced they were dating after the season finished.
I was so rooting for them, but sadly, their second try at love just didn’t work out. It was heartbreaking to hear they broke up in early December 2019, just like their first romance seemed to fade away.
Lucie is currently engaged to Luke from season six, but Joe, who recently pursued a relationship on All Stars in 2024, appears to be happily single.

Anton and Belle were the second couple from season five to break up after leaving the villa, but they stayed friends. However, Anton made it clear that they wouldn’t get back together romantically.
“It’s definitely not a romantic relationship,” the creator of the fitness app told Mail Online. “We’re good friends now, and it would feel like dating a sibling. We’ve moved past that point.”
Anton competed on Love Island: All Stars in 2024, finishing in fifth place alongside Georgia Harrison. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last long after the show.
