Get ready to revisit Amandaland! The popular BBC comedy is coming back to television next month.
Lucy Punch is back as the hilariously snobby single mom from the show Motherland, and we’re excited to see what she does next.
As you may have seen in the season 2 trailer, Amanda is continuing to build her online brand, ‘Senuous’ – which she describes as meaning ‘sumptuous luxury’.
I recently learned about a fascinating PR strategy. It seems a public figure is kicking things off by speaking at her son’s school career day. And she’s not just there to inspire – she’s determined to challenge anyone who thinks her profession is superficial. It’s a bold move, directly addressing criticism head-on, and I’m really curious to see how it plays out.
The funny sneak peek suggests we can expect even more memorable moments from Amanda! If you’re looking forward to it as much as we are, be sure to tune in to BBC One on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 9pm for the season premiere.
From that date, all episodes will also be available as a complete set on BBC iPlayer, allowing you to watch whenever you like.

Okay, so I’m trying to show you this video, but it’s coming from YouTube. Basically, before it plays, they need my okay to load – it’s a privacy thing. Season two of Amandaland brings back Philippa Dunne as Anne, the ever-patient best friend, Joanna Lumley as the blunt but loving mother Felicity, and Samuel Anderson as Mal, who may become a romantic interest.
Last month, Dunne discussed with TopMob the significant challenge of following up on the success of the first season and bringing Amanda and Anne’s story back to viewers.
We knew this was a huge undertaking, and we didn’t want to disappoint anyone or harm the legacy of [Motherland],” she said. “We’re just thrilled and amazed that people aren’t just enjoying it, they’re truly loving it.

Honestly, it feels amazing that all the effort was worth it! Seeing people actually enjoy it and respond so positively is the best feeling as a movie fan – it’s why we all do this, right?
Speaking about her co-star, Punch, Dunne shared how much she enjoys working with her. She said she connected with Punch immediately and continues to adore her, along with Amanda. Dunne expressed that the best part of her job is getting to play scenes alongside such wonderful people.
The second season of Amandaland begins with a script written by Holly Walsh, co-creator of Motherland, and Laurence Rickard, who also co-created and starred in Ghosts – where he’s known as the character Robin the Caveman.
Amandaland season 2 premieres in May. Stream season 1 on BBC iPlayer now.
Okay, folks, let me tell you, if you’re looking for something new to binge, definitely add “Add Amandaland” to your watchlist. And while you’re at it, download the TopMob: What to Watch app – it’s become my go-to for daily TV recommendations and all sorts of behind-the-scenes features. Seriously, it’s a lifesaver when you’re stuck scrolling endlessly!
