Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a role-playing game set in a unique world where people die at a certain age, and that age is getting lower every year. The game was incredibly popular and highly praised, earning critical acclaim and review scores comparable to those of the renowned Baldur’s Gate 3.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Anniversary Update Takes Cast to the Barbers
Sandfall Interactive has released Patch v1.5.5 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, as announced on the game’s official page. This update focuses on cosmetic improvements, adding new character hairstyles, rather than introducing major new content.
You can’t get these new hairstyles immediately. To unlock Gustave’s Anniversary haircut, find the Gestral Merchant near Stone Wave Cliffs. The other Anniversary hairstyles for Verso, Maelle, Lune, Sciel, and Monoco are available from the Gestral Merchant near Grosse Tête on the World Map.
PC players have been able to customize Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with mods for some time, letting them change characters’ clothes and hairstyles. This update will be especially helpful for console players, who haven’t had those options until now.
What Else Is in the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Anniversary Update?
The rest of the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Patch v1.5.5 focuses on smaller bug fixes for frustrating issues players have experienced over the last year. The biggest fix addresses a problem where players couldn’t rest on the world map while a dialogue box was open, blocking access to helpful services.
Sandfall Interactive has been celebrating a lot of success lately, attending award shows and winning numerous prizes. Now that the celebrations have settled, everyone is eager to see what the company will do next. Similar to the anticipation surrounding Larian Studios after their recent hit, all eyes are on Sandfall Interactive and their upcoming projects.
The world of Clair Obscur has potential for more stories, but Sandfall Interactive might also develop a completely new JRPG or try out different game types altogether. We probably won’t hear about their next big project for a while, so this free downloadable content is a great bonus for players in the meantime.
