Prince Harry Slams Suggestion He’s No Longer a Member of Royal Family

Prince Harry is royally over this sentiment.

After six years of living in California following their departure from royal duties, Prince Harry responded to those who question whether he still contributes to the royal family’s legacy.

During a visit to Ukraine, Prince Harry told ITV News in an interview on April 24th that he remains committed to the royal family. He explained he’s fulfilling his life’s purpose by continuing his work and enjoys what he does.

He said he loves being able to travel and help people he’s connected with in the past.

Prince Harry, 41, who is father to 6-year-old Archie and 4-year-old Lilibet with Meghan, said he appreciates still having the visibility that comes with being a royal. He wants to use that platform to draw attention to important issues, such as helping those impacted by the war in Ukraine.

Although Harry and Meghan stopped their royal duties in 2020 due to constant negative attention from the tabloids, Harry stated in 2021 that they never intended to completely sever their relationship with the royal family.

Harry explained on The Late Late Show with James Corden that leaving his royal role wasn’t about simply walking away. He described the situation as a very challenging one, noting the intense scrutiny from the British press and how it negatively impacted his mental well-being.

After Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018, he shared that the atmosphere surrounding them in the U.K. became very negative. However, they were always committed to continuing their charitable work, something traditionally associated with being a member of the royal family.

Harry thought to himself, ‘I did what anyone would do for their family – I knew we had to get to safety.’ However, he emphasized he wasn’t abandoning his commitments. ‘I’ll always be involved and contribute,’ he said, ‘because public service is my calling, and that will always be true no matter where I am.’

Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested on February 19th, his 66th birthday, and is suspected of wrongdoing while holding a public office.

The arrest happened while there was fresh debate about Andrew’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew maintains he has done nothing wrong.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have publicly expressed their sympathy for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein following the release of court documents related to the convicted sex offender.

A spokesperson for The Prince and Princess said they are very worried about the ongoing disclosures, and their primary concern is for those affected.

Marius Borg Høiby, the oldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon, was arrested on February 1st for assault, threatening someone with a knife, and breaking a restraining order, according to a statement from Oslo police to The Associated Press.

The 29-year-old man, who isn’t a royal and doesn’t have any official responsibilities, will be held for up to four weeks due to concerns he might commit further crimes. An Oslo court approved the detention, and his lawyer, Petar Sekulic, says they are thinking about filing an appeal.

I can’t believe this is happening! So, apparently, Høiby’s going to be in court on February 3rd, but it’s not just about the initial case. There’s a whole separate indictment now – they’re accusing him of four rapes that supposedly happened between 2018 and 2024. And it gets worse… they’re also saying he hurt a partner twice and totally ignored a restraining order. I’m just… stunned. I need to know everything, but this is awful.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely, and I understand everyone wants to know what’s happening. I just received a statement from Mr. Høiby’s legal team, and they’ve made it clear that he strongly denies all accusations of sexual abuse and disputes most of the claims involving violence. They’re fully defending him against these serious allegations.

Flora Vesterberg, the granddaughter of Princess Alexandra (a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II), has announced she is expecting her first child with her husband, Timothy Vesterberg.

She announced on Instagram on January 19th that she and Timothy are expecting their first child, saying they are “over the moon” with happiness.

Okay, so Harry was at court today, the 19th, and it’s the start of this HUGE trial! He’s going up against the people who run the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, and Mail Online – Associated Newspapers – and honestly, it’s about time! He’s saying they’ve been doing some seriously shady stuff to get their stories, and it’s going to be a long fight, weeks even, but I’m SO here for him taking them down. It’s about time someone stood up to them!

Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and Sadie Frost are also joining the lawsuit against the publishing company.

Associated Newspapers has “vigorously denied” the claims, according to the BBC.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked their tenth anniversary as a couple by posting a sweet, black-and-white video of them dancing at home.

The couple shared a sweet video set to Olivia Dean’s song “So Easy (To Fall In Love),” and revealed it was filmed by their 4-year-old daughter, Lilibet. Meghan, who also shares 6-year-old son Archie with Harry, gave credit to Lilibet in the caption of the January 16th Instagram post, simply writing, “cred: our daughter.”

The couple also posted an old photo from when they first started dating. It showed them hugging during a trip outdoors, and it was really cute.

“When 2026 feels just like 2016….,” Meghan wrote in the caption. “You had to be there.”

On January 15th, the Greek royal family announced the death of Queen Sofia of Spain’s sister, who was 83 years old.

The Greek Royal Family announced with great sadness that Princess Irene passed away on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at 11:40 AM local time at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. She was surrounded by family when she died.

The funeral for her took place on January 19th at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens, and she was buried at the Royal Cemetery of Tatoi.

On her 44th birthday, the Princess of Wales shared a message on the power of nature to heal.

In a recent video, Kate reflected on winter’s ability to bring peace and encourage self-reflection. She described how the season’s quiet stillness allows us to see ourselves more clearly, like looking into a slow-moving stream, and connect with the natural world around us.

I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am. It’s like a gentle release – letting go of fears, finding peace with sadness, and truly feeling what it means to be alive and connected to the natural world. Nature is a quiet guide, helping us heal and remember.

Princess Catherine made her first public appearance of 2026 alongside her husband at Charing Cross Hospital in London. The visit was to show support for healthcare workers and came nearly a year after she shared news that her cancer was in remission.
