The popular anime series My Hero Academia is wrapping up with one last episode, giving fans a final chance to say goodbye to Deku and his classmates at UA Academy. While the main story concluded with a look at the characters as adults after defeating All For One, this new episode, titled “More,” will adapt content from the manga that hadn’t been shown yet. Fans are especially excited because it might finally show Deku and Ochaco starting a romantic relationship, something many have been hoping for.
The highly anticipated final trailer for My Hero Academia has been released! Along with the new footage, Studio BONES has revealed details about a special episode. As part of the My Hero Academia 10th Anniversary celebration, a new installment titled “More” – based on artwork created specifically for the final volume of the manga – will air on Saturday, May 2nd. “More” picks up the story after the anime and manga’s conclusion, showing what happens to Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, Ochaco, and the rest of Class A eight years after graduating from U.A. High.
The End is Nigh
The final episode of the series will be available on Crunchyroll worldwide on the same day it airs, so fans won’t have to wait to find out if Deku and Uravity finally get together. We last saw Deku teaching at UA Academy, training the next generation of heroes, but his One For All power was gone after his battle with Shigaraki. Fortunately, All Might gave Deku a powerful new suit of armor in the previous episode, giving him a renewed ability to fight villains.
Currently, the creator of the popular manga My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi, hasn’t announced any plans to continue the story. He doesn’t have any sequels or spin-offs in the works, although he has mentioned wanting to create manga again in the future. He’s specifically expressed interest in trying his hand at horror manga, similar to the style of Junji Ito. While there’s no confirmed timeline for his return, fans are hoping he’ll start a new project soon.
I’m really excited to see Deku and his friends back for one final adventure set at UA Academy! I’d love to hear your thoughts too – share your opinions in the comments and let’s discuss it all over on the ComicBook Forum.
