Antonio Banderasmay have left Hollywood, but he has good reason to visit now and then.
On a recent trip to Los Angeles, the 65-year-old spent quality time with his ex-wife, Melanie Griffith, their daughter Stella Banderas, and Stella’s husband, Alex Gruszynski. He shared a heartwarming photo of the four of them relaxing together on a couch.
Yesterday was such a heartwarming day! I saw a post from him on X saying he had a wonderful time in Los Angeles with his family – his son-in-law, Alex, his daughter, Stella, and even with Melanie, his ex-wife, who he clearly still considers a close, lifelong friend. It’s just lovely to see them all getting along so well.
Antonio and Alex are both smiling for the camera, but the mother and daughter are absolutely overcome with laughter.
Antonio and Melanie divorced in 2015, but they’ve remained close, both as parents to their children and as friends. In a 2019 interview with Vulture, the actor known for The Legend of Zorro explained, “Even though Melanie and I are no longer married, she’s still family. She’s one of my closest friends, maybe even my best.”
Before this weekend, they’d last seen each other at Stella and Alex’s wedding in October. Following his daughter’s wedding, Antonio shared a heartwarming Instagram video featuring childhood photos of the 29-year-old, celebrating her and their combined family.
My daughter Stella’s wedding has become a wonderfully emotional and happy family reunion filled with laughter,” he shared in a post. “We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
Melanie, also the mother of Dakota Johnson (36), Jesse Johnson (43), and Alexander Bauer (40), shared wedding photos to celebrate, including a touching picture of her ex-husband walking their daughter Stella down the aisle.
The 68-year-old shared on Instagram how incredibly happy and loving this time has been, calling it a truly wonderful experience. She also expressed feeling surrounded by a lot of love.

Antonio Banderas, known for his role in Puss in Boots, still prioritizes family despite no longer living in Los Angeles. When he isn’t visiting relatives in Hollywood, he lives in his hometown of Málaga, Spain, with his partner, Nicole Kimpel.
Regarding his move back to Spain, he told The Times on March 25, “I have never been so happy.”
The Philadelphia graduate isn’t the only one traveling internationally for family matters. Stella also prioritizes her Spanish heritage and chose to have her wedding in Valladolid, Spain, last year.
Antonio told Hola! magazine that his daughter’s wedding in Spain was a way for her to feel connected to her family’s heritage. Even though she was raised in the U.S., she’s very proud of her Andalusian and Málaga roots, and wanted to share that part of herself – and her homeland – with her husband and his family.

They are definitely not getting back together. However, with all the recent interactions – birthday celebrations, affectionate hugs, and even playfully acting out a romantic scene during the Fast Times at Ridgemont High virtual reading – it feels like they’re just teasing everyone who still hopes they will.

It takes a certain level of confidence to playfully tease your ex on his own show. That’s exactly what Sarah did when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show to promote her new series, I Love You, America. She jokingly poked fun at Jimmy’s wife, Molly Kimmel, describing her as the recipient of a more modern version of Jimmy. “It’s not fair,” Sarah quipped, “She gets the updated Jimmy. I only got the Jimmy from The Man Show.”

Honestly, some observers seemed more affected by this breakup than the people involved. When Anna—who is now married to Michael Barrett—learned that Pratt was going to marry Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, she surprisingly offered to perform the wedding ceremony. She even sent a gift when Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s daughter, Lyla, was born in August 2020. A source shared with TopMob News that Anna was “very supportive” and happy for her son, Jack, to have a little sister.

Their breakup could have easily led to disaster, but four years later, these HGTV stars are thriving. They’re successfully co-parenting their children, Taylor and Brayden, and continuing to renovate dilapidated houses into beautiful homes for others.

Lenny Kravitz and his ex-wife, actress Zoë Kravitz’s mother, still feel incredibly close, describing themselves as ‘best friends’ in a 2013 interview with Oprah Winfrey. Despite their divorce and her subsequent marriage to and split from Jason Momoa, they maintain a strong family bond. Lenny describes it as a ‘beautiful’ example of how things can work out positively, even after a relationship ends.

Since announcing their split in 2020, the Dancing With the Stars co-host and her former hockey player husband have consistently shown they remain friendly with each other.
When Brooks announced he was getting married to Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir in December 2024, Julianne publicly shared her excitement. She posted on Instagram, wishing them a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and adventures as they begin this new chapter together.
It was so lovely to see them all together! Months after everything, the dancer spent the day at the lake with her ex-husband and his now-fiancée, who is expecting. She even shared a picture of them all, calling them ‘three cuties’ – it just felt like a really positive step for everyone involved, and I was so happy to see it.

After separating in 2015, the parents of Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel have successfully co-parented, consistently prioritizing their children. They’ve continued to share vacations and holidays, and Ben has publicly praised his ex-partner, even calling her “an amazing mother” in a 2016 interview with TopMob News.

Okay, so Nina and Ian broke up back in 2013 – can you believe it?! After three years, though, they stayed friends, which is… fine, I guess. Then, in 2014, Ian started dating Nikki Reed, and they got MARRIED so quickly! Of course, Nina ended up becoming friends with Nikki too. It’s just… a lot to process, honestly. I still ship Nina and Ian, obviously, but I’m trying to be happy for everyone… really I am!

I was so sad when I heard about Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney breaking up back in July 2016 – they seemed like such a great couple after five years together! But I was relieved to hear her talk about it on Howard Stern a few months later. She said they were still incredibly close, and that Taylor was more than just an ex; he’s been a lover and a true friend to her for a really long time. It’s nice to know they could stay connected even after their romantic relationship ended.
“We love each other,” she said. “That’s it.”

Even years after The Office ended in 2013, the chemistry between its stars remained apparent, and Mindy Kaling understands why fans still root for them as a couple. In a 2019 interview with Good Housekeeping, she explained that while choosing him to be a godparent to her children, she’d feel the same way if she were an outside observer. However, she clarified that their relationship has evolved into something even closer than a friendship – they’re now like family.

After their divorce was finalized in 2011, the former couple easily continued to raise their son, Bronx. The Fall Out Boy singer has praised his ex-wife, calling her a fantastic mother.

Looks like she’s moved on from those rumors about dating seven different people! The singer, who’s also a member of the Jonas Brothers, has stated he and his former partner are on good terms. He described their connection as simply being friendly and having a positive relationship.

Jennifer and her Dexter co-star first met while working on the show in 2006, and their relationship became romantic two years later. Even after their divorce in 2011, Jennifer has said they remained friendly and respectful towards each other.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are famous for having a friendly relationship even after their divorce, and they continue to be close. It was natural for them to decide to quarantine together with their daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, at their Idaho home. Sounds like they even had some fun while they were at it!

Even four years after their 2014 split, Jennifer Lopez still spoke highly of her ex-husband, and the father of her twins, Max and Emme. In a 2018 interview on Sunday Today, she shared how Marc Anthony boosted her confidence during their marriage. He consistently encouraged her, telling her she was a talented singer and shouldn’t listen to anyone who said otherwise. Lopez deeply respected him, considering him one of the greatest singers ever.

Despite any personal struggles he might be facing, the actress will always support her ex-husband and former Scream colleague. Eight years after their 2010 divorce, she told Bear Grylls on Running Wild, “Honestly, it was a really amicable split.” She added that they successfully co-parent their daughter, Coco.

Although their relationship ended in 2007, they still had great chemistry on screen when they starred together in the 2011 film Bad Teacher.

Although their 2013 breakup was difficult at first, the actors have reached a point where they can vacation together as a group. The actor shared with LaPalme Magazine that he gets along well with his ex-wife’s husband, and he considers him a good person. He mentioned a 2017 trip to Cancun where they were joined by Garth, Dave Abrams, Peter’s fiancée Lily Anne Harrison, and their three daughters, Luca, Lola, and Fiona. He also spoke about his relationship with his ex-wife, Jennie, saying that people enter your life for a reason and relationships evolve. He emphasized that even though they’re no longer together, it doesn’t diminish the love they share.

Even though they unexpectedly separated in September 2012, the couple worked hard to appear supportive of each other for their children’s sake. In a 2014 interview with Howard Stern, she explained that she and Will remained close friends and were successfully co-parenting. She didn’t view their ten-year marriage as a failure, emphasizing that all relationships face challenges.

The Grammy-winning artist and her ex-husband, who officially divorced in January 2024, have stayed friendly while raising their son, Hayes. They even live only five minutes away from each other, making it easy to share parenting responsibilities.
“Our stops are really easy,” Maren told The Zoe Report in May 2025, “and we’ll have family dinners.”
