Make no mistake, Kylie Jenner is in control.
The Kardashian star proved she’s much more than just the public face of her fashion brand, Khy, as it prepares to relaunch after three years.
Kylie recently told Vogue that she’s deeply involved in her brand, Khy. About a year after launching, she took complete creative control from her partners, Jens Grede and Emma Grede. She explained that she’s at the office every Wednesday and constantly communicates with the team, even on weekends – jokingly adding they might be tired of hearing from her!
I begin by creating an inspiration board, and from there, I move on to sketching. After that, I like to look at lots and lots of different materials and examples.
The 28-year-old also shared that she gets feedback on her Khy clothing samples from her close friend, Anastasia Karanikolaou, who everyone calls Stassie.
“She just gets me,” she said. “We’ve been friends since we were kids, so when she comes over, I always ask her to try everything on—I really appreciate how much she cares about getting it right.”
The actress from Moment also asks her friends for their opinions, and she intends to rely on this feedback even more as the brand grows.
Okay, so I was totally asking Kylie about this one look, like, ‘Is this going to be the thing next summer?’ And she said if people aren’t loving it, she’ll just ditch it! It’s amazing – she actually listens to us, to her friends, to everyone on her team, and to her customers! She genuinely wants to create stuff people will adore, and honestly, that’s everything to me. It’s like, she cares what we think!

The mother of two children, 8-year-old Stormi and 4-year-old Aire, who she shares with her ex, Travis Scott, also mentioned that her decade of running Kylie Cosmetics has helped shape how she’s building Khy.
I took away a lot of valuable lessons from my time with Kylie Cosmetics and have been applying them here. Things like building a strong team, really listening to what customers want, and paying close attention to every detail – it’s surprisingly similar work, actually.
As a longtime fan, I’ve always admired how Kylie builds her brands, and it’s amazing to see her apply those lessons to Khy. She’s been running Kylie Cosmetics for a full decade now, and that experience really shines through. Plus, as a mom to Stormi, who’s eight, and Aire, who’s four, with Travis Scott, she clearly brings a lot of passion and dedication to everything she does, and Khy is no different!
I’ve taken many lessons from my time with Kylie Cosmetics and applied them to this new venture. Things like building a strong team, really listening to what customers want, and focusing on the small details – it’s surprisingly similar work, actually.
Kylie recently explained that she’s still very involved with the beauty company she launched when she was 18.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I was listening to the new Big Bro podcast with Kid Cudi, and Kylie said the sweetest thing! She basically admitted she’s totally, completely obsessed – like, really crazy about everything Cudi does! I knew it! It’s so amazing to hear her say it out loud. I feel so seen!
I manage everything on Instagram,” she explained. “That includes creating and scheduling posts, handling all the marketing, organizing and running photoshoots, choosing models, doing the makeup, developing the product formulas, and managing relationships with the factories.

She also restated her continued strong commitment to the company, saying her enthusiasm hasn’t diminished since she founded it in 2015.
After ten years, she says she’s incredibly happy with how things turned out. She loves going to work each day, where she gets to spend all day playing with makeup, which still feels unbelievable to her.
