ARC Raiders: Riven Tides Goes Live on April 28th, Adds First New Map in Over 5 Months

Tomorrow, April 28th, Embark Studios will launch a new map for ARC Raiders called Riven Tides. It’s been over five months since the last map, Stella Montis, was released. Riven Tides takes place on the western coast of the Rust Belt and features interesting locations like a dockyard and a resort. Players will also encounter new dangers, including a threat called the Turbine.

It’s not an immediate danger, but this can become very risky. You’ll have to experience it yourself to understand how. Beachcombing introduces a new Map Condition where you use a Dockmaster’s Detector to find hidden treasure. While you might uncover something valuable, equipping the detector takes up a weapon slot, potentially leaving you defenseless.

The game now includes two new items, the Crash Mat and Powered Descender, which help reduce damage from falling. Plus, a limited-time event called Last Resort is running until May 25th. During this event, players can find hidden Ship Models to earn Merits – rarer models give more Merits. These Merits can be redeemed for a new outfit, backpack, attachments, emotes, and 250 Raider Tokens.

The Avian Alarm Raider Project sends you on a bird-catching mission, where you’ll place cages along the coast. Completing this project is essential to unlock the Dockmaster’s Detector, and you’ll also get a special emote, a backpack item, Gel Patches, and an additional 250 Raider Tokens as rewards.

Embark Studios hasn’t revealed much about the future of the game beyond some new cosmetic items coming in May. However, they plan to add more maps of various sizes in 2026, suggesting the fight against the ARCs – and other players – will continue for quite some time.
