Crunchyroll’s Best Action Fantasy of The Year Reveals New Update

Fans are excited for the return of Wistoria: Wand and Sword this Spring 2026, nearly two years after its first season premiered. Based on a novel by Fujino Omori – the author known for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? – the show originally debuted in 2024 and quickly became popular thanks to its beautiful animation, immersive world, and compelling characters. The new season premiered on April 12th, 2026, and is already being hailed as one of the best of the Spring season. New episodes are available to stream every Sunday at 1:30 A.M. PT on Crunchyroll, and the series is accessible in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East.

The English dub of the series became available on April 26, 2026. Although the dub is released two weeks after the original Japanese version, new episodes will be available at the same time as the subtitled releases. Crunchyroll’s website has also announced the voice cast, with the original actors reprising their roles. Season two will introduce new characters and continues the story directly after the first season’s ending, leading into what is expected to be the most intense story arc yet. Will Serfort and his classmates are now facing the greatest danger they’ve ever encountered.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Brings More Challenges For The Characters

Will’s first encounter with the Evil Grand Duke was just the start of his problems, as the villains are now actively putting their plans into motion. The kingdom is bracing for a major event, and unrest is growing. The New Year’s celebration will be disrupted by chaos, and Will will find himself right in the middle of it. As the kingdom faces danger, the students are also nearing graduation, which will determine Will’s future and the fate of his classmates.

Will needs to earn more credits to graduate and gain entry into the prestigious Magia Vander Tower. However, he faces a significant challenge because he can’t cast any spells, which is slowing him down. The new season will also reveal more about Will’s childhood friend, Elfaria, who had a limited role in the first season. She’s the main reason Will is determined to succeed and will be a key figure in the upcoming events.

The author hinted in a recent interview that the upcoming ‘Terminaria Arc’ will be a major turning point early in the story, suggesting the second season is even more important than fans expect. Beyond the action and obstacles, the season will also explore the developing relationship between Will and Elfaria, who are finally set to reunite after years apart.
