Invincible VS alpha male Rex Splode is now available as DLC with no clothes.
The ‘Towel Skin’ character customization option costs $9.99 or £7.99 and comes with four different color choices, plus some extra items for your player profile.
The blurb reveals the following:
Celebrate the history of the Guardians of the Globe with the Towel Skin for Rex Splode! Inspired by a famously awkward and revealing locker room argument, this skin shows a lot of Rex – perhaps more than you wanted to see. It’s not exactly useful, but it definitely makes him stand out.
It’s perfect that the trailer features the character being beaten up by both Atom Eve and Dupli-Kate – it’s especially fun to watch considering his outfit.
Despite the trailer playfully downplaying the cost, the price is actually extremely high.
You can also get different outfits for characters like Conquest and Battle Beast, and they cost about the same. Strangely, an outfit for Allen the Alien is much cheaper, costing only $4.99 or £3.99.
Considering how much the complete game costs, charging a fifth of that price for just one skin feels excessive.
