Two characters from Albert Square have become intimate after a strong mutual attraction.
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) have been showing a romantic connection in EastEnders recently, with hints of this first appearing during the show’s 40th anniversary episodes last year.
They became close because they both cared about his brother, Phil, but he was more focused on getting back together with Linda’s friend, Sharon Watts.
Ever since Grant came back, he’s been encouraging Linda to repair her relationship with her son, Johnny, after they had a disagreement. She previously put pressure on Tim Walton to secretly test Johnny’s relationship with Callum, which led to a lot of trouble.
Tim tried to blackmail the couple, and forced Johnny to sleep with him to resolve it.

Johnny invested in his law firm, Carter & Carter, but he hasn’t used any of the money and now fears the business is failing.
Grant cautioned Linda that pushing Johnny away would likely drive him further away – a pattern he understood all too well from his own strained relationship with his son, Mark Fowler (Stephen Aaron-Sipple). As a result, Linda decided to give Johnny the money directly.
She decided to sell her part of the salon, Fox & Hair, but Johnny wouldn’t accept her offer and told her to stay out of his business. Grant encouraged her not to back down, but she angrily warned him to stay out of her affairs as well.
Later that day, he ran into Johnny at the cafe and asked him to be nicer to Linda. He admitted he had a lot of regrets, especially about his relationship with his mother, Peggy (Barbara Windsor), but he hadn’t understood them until after she died.

Thinking about it, Johnny found his mum in the town square and they made up. But instead of taking any money from her, he suggested she spend it on herself.
Linda was overjoyed with how things turned out and expressed her gratitude to Grant upon returning to Peacock Palace. Their connection deepened, culminating in a passionate kiss and a quick retreat to the bedroom.
Are Grant and Linda beginning a new romance? Or is their connection simply a result of Linda’s unhappiness with her ex, Max Branning, now that he’s with Cindy Beale?
