As the early access release of Subnautica 2 gets closer, Unknown Worlds has shared a new developer video. This video gives us an update on what to expect in the initial release and a preview of future plans for the game.
The team is clearly thrilled to finally release this game, and it’s a big relief to put the difficult development process behind them. The game looks as good as we’d hoped, and this release includes a lot of new content – more than any of the studio’s previous early access games. They’ll be relying on player feedback to improve the game over the next two years, or longer if needed.
Building on the success of the first game, Subnautica 2 has the potential to be something truly special, especially if the developers listen to player feedback. The base-building features alone look incredibly engaging and could provide hours of gameplay.
If you’re unsure if your computer can run it, the vlog includes a list of recommended specs to check. Subnautica 2 will be released on May 14th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will also be available on Game Pass.
