Kris Jenner Had Her 22-Minute Hysterectomy Videotaped

Kris Jenner is keeping it candid about her health.

The Kardashian family member revealed she had a hysterectomy a few years ago after doctors found a non-cancerous tumor on her ovary, and she calls it the best choice she’s ever made.

On the May 5th episode of the SHE MD podcast, Kris explained she preferred to address a potential health issue proactively. ‘I’d rather deal with it now and avoid any future complications,’ she said, ‘so I decided to have it taken care of.’

The 70-year-old also explained she felt she no longer needed her uterus, now that all the Kardashians and Jenners – Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie – are adults, and some even have children themselves.

As she quipped, “That was a good uterus.”

But if Kris ever misses the organ, she can see it on video. 

During the podcast episode, Kris’s doctor, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, playfully mentioned she had filmed the surgery for her. She described it as 22 minutes of uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact.

Still, the procedure was a bittersweet one for Kris.

It’s incredibly emotional for me,” she shared on a 2024 episode of The Kardashians, which followed her cancer diagnosis and recovery. “Growing up, all I ever wanted was a family. For decades – really, 40 or 50 years – that’s all my husband and I talked about. Now, we’re revisiting that conversation, but from a completely different and much harder perspective.

Especially since Kris believes motherhood is her true calling.

You know, I’ve spent my entire career dedicated to this, and it truly feels like what I was meant to do. It’s more than just a job – it’s what I want to be remembered for, it’s my passion, and honestly, it’s at the very core of who I am.

In fact, the momager said her “purpose on earth is to be here” for her kids.

“I consider them my biggest joy,” Kris added, “but they’re also my biggest responsibility.”
