Nick Cannon‘s Mother’s Day is not all that crazy as people expect it would be.
The former All That cast member—who has twelve children with six different mothers—shared how he intends to celebrate the holiday in a classic way.
On the May 2nd episode of The TMZ Podcast, 45-year-old Nick explained he was spending time with his mother, clarifying, ‘It’s Mother’s Day, not a day to celebrate the mothers of your children!’
The comedian, who has children with Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, and Alyssa Scott, explained that he always makes sure the mothers of his children feel appreciated on the holiday. He does this by helping his kids choose gifts for their moms.
I’m grateful for the gifts, but each family’s situation is different,” Nick said. “I always try to personalize the gifts and involve the children in the process, but it’s great that everyone receives something unique because each family has different kids.”
Okay, so everyone always assumes Mother’s Day must be rough for Nick Cannon, you know, with everything going on. But honestly? He says there are other holidays that are way more complicated for him to navigate. I mean, can you imagine?! It’s just… a lot. But he’s handling it, and I’m so proud of him!
Nick explained that while people often assume Mother’s Day is a hectic time for him, it’s not actually that day that causes the most stress.
He mentioned it was Valentine’s Day, but with a bit of irony, it also felt like Father’s Day since all his children wanted to be with him. He usually spends Mother’s Day with his own mother or grandmother.

I’ve been following the conversation around Nick Cannon lately, and it’s been quite a bit to unpack! He recently shared his Mother’s Day plans, and it’s happening right after people started talking about the rules he has in place for his 15-year-old daughter when it comes to dating. It’s definitely sparked a lot of discussion, and I’m seeing people have strong opinions on both sides.
Nick Cannon, who shares his twins Monroe and Moroccan with Mariah Carey, recently revealed that he’s more protective of his daughter Monroe when it comes to dating than he is of his son, Moroccan.
“My son has been dating,” he shared on The TMZ Podcast, “and I’ve allowed it, I encouraged it.”
When asked if he treats his daughter, Monroe, the same way, the TV star answered directly, “No, definitely not.”
I know I often get in trouble for being so open and honest, but there’s definitely a double standard at play here,” Nick explained. “Raising a son is just different than raising a daughter, and that impacts how I approach things.”

Okay, I’m still reeling! She posted the most incredible video on Instagram – Nick Cannon actually helped deliver their baby! She said her whole life changed, and honestly, same! She named the baby Zen, and it’s just… everything. She feels his spirit with every single breath, and she knows he was there in the room with them that morning. It’s like he’s watching over them, sending little signs every day. She says she’ll cherish that moment forever, and honestly, I feel like I will too, just watching the video! It’s so beautiful and emotional, I can’t stop thinking about it.
I’ll never forget hearing Nick say ‘It’s a girl,’ and seeing all our journey reflected in his expression. I’ll also cherish the sound of our baby’s first cry and feeling her tiny heartbeat next to mine. Our precious little girl, we were so surprised and overjoyed! We love you, Halo Marie Cannon!
