Despite a busy year promoting the final season of Stranger Things – and keeping the show’s secrets, especially what happened to her character Eleven – Millie Bobby Brown managed to keep her personal happiness private.

She explained that protecting her daughter and allowing her to tell her own story when she’s older is a top priority. She doesn’t want to put her daughter in the public eye without her consent, and they would fully support her if she ever chooses to share her life with the world, just as she did when she was young. Right now, as her parents, they feel it’s their responsibility to shield her from unwanted attention.

As a lifestyle expert, I completely understand Millie’s approach to sharing photos of her daughter on Instagram. She posts the sweetest little snippets – adorable glimpses that are cute, but intentionally don’t reveal too much, protecting her daughter’s privacy. Millie described this time in her life as her most genuine yet, telling Allure that becoming a mother quickly helped her prioritize who she needed to be. She explained, “Nothing could get in the way of me being who I need to be for my daughter.”

I really admire how she prioritizes showing her child the importance of self-care, even though it’s incredibly difficult for her. She admitted it feels like everything has to be done at warp speed, and simple things like her morning gua sha routine just aren’t realistic anymore. It’s a tough balance, but she’s determined to model healthy habits, even if it means adapting them!

Instead, she’s been focusing on strengthening her connections with the people she cares about, as well as taking better care of herself.

Millie shared that she makes a conscious effort to be kind to herself, realizing how easily people fall into the habit of negative self-talk, especially about their bodies. Becoming a mother changed her perspective; she realized she couldn’t model that kind of self-criticism for her daughter.

And, if life continues to go according to plan, Millie’s audience is only going to get larger.

She shared on the Smartless podcast that she dreams of having a large family, explaining that both she and her partner come from families of four. She also expressed that she views having a biological child and adopting a child as equally meaningful, and that her heart is open to loving any child.

Millie jokingly mentioned that people in her town actually thought she was pregnant because she was constantly buying bottles and diapers – but it was all for the animals she was rescuing.

Millie recently shared a photo suggesting her dog, Winnie, is getting used to the new baby, but she told The Tonight Show in December that Winnie initially felt a little insecure when the baby arrived – it was a bit of a blow to his pride!

Jake, whom she married twice in 2024—first for legal reasons, and then again in a beautiful ceremony in Tuscany—has lived up to expectations.

Millie shared with Vanity Fair last year that getting married felt like a huge step, and she and her partner wanted to be certain it was the right choice. She personally felt confident in her decision, saying it always felt natural and right with him.

And sure enough, he turned out to be “the most amazing dad,” according to his wife.

Millie shared with Vogue that she and her partner share all decisions equally. She expressed deep gratitude for their balanced partnership and working together in life.

She described co-parenting as “a beautiful, amazing journey.” She emphasized how much things had changed her perspective, making her appreciate the little things in life. Their days are now full of affection, laughter, and a constant sense of happiness.
