Louise Redknapp and Lizzie Cundy look chic as they attend the launch of Jo Wood’s debut novel while her ex husband Ronnie makes a surprise appearance

At the book launch held at London’s Nexus Club on a Wednesday, Louise Redknapp, Lizzie Cundy, and Jo Wood all appeared stylish wearing monochrome outfits.

Louise, a 50-year-old singer and spouse of ex-footballer Jamie Redknapp, was stunning in a pristine white blouse, paired elegantly with a set of black three-quarter length workout tights.

She upped the glamour as she toted around her belongings in a black leather Hermes Birkin bag,

Louise added inches to her statuesque frame as she slipped into a pair of black leather mules.

TV personality Lizzie, 57, put on a very busty display in a plunging white structured dress.

To complete her outfit, the ex-wife of footballer Jason Cundy sported a pair of white high-heels and accessorized with a nude leather handbag.

As I, at the ripe age of 70, gracefully strutted about, my elegant demeanor was accentuated by a sleek black blouse with buttons, perfectly matched with a pair of black trousers and stylish platform sandals.

Everyone exited to mark the launch of Jo‘s first novel, titled “The Resurrection of Flo.” This book delves into topics like fortitude, personal growth, and empowerment in older women.

She clarified that the controversial novel draws upon her personal journey of healing following her difficult divorce with the Rolling Stones guitarist, who unexpectedly attended the gathering.

In an interview with the Mail, Jo shared that her book focuses on empowering women who have gone through divorce. She emphasized the importance of regaining one’s independence, embracing new experiences, and enjoying life to its fullest even in later years.

Slated for release this coming summer, The Resurrection of Flo is characterized by its publisher as both “seductive” and “scandalous.

Jo shared, “I understand that feeling of parting ways with one’s spouse, as it’s a situation many women have faced when the man they cherish leaves them unexpectedly. It seems writing about personal experiences can be particularly impactful.

My buddy went through the text and commented, “Wow, Jo, it seems like that could have been your situation when you parted ways with Ronnie.” Although the tale revolves around a character named Flo, I can’t help but personalize the emotions I’m feeling.

In the book, the main character, whose name matches the writer’s, is 53 years old at the time of her divorce, similar to when Jo parted ways with Ronnie following his relationship with the 19-year-old cocktail waitress, Katia Ivanova.

Jo and Ronnie share a pair of kids – Leah, aged 46, and Tyrone, who is 41. Following Jo’s divorce filing in 2008, they managed to rekindle their friendship, maintaining a positive relationship ever since.

As a devoted admirer, let me share that I am not only a proud parent to the remarkable Jo, but also to Jamie, a 48-year-old son from her previous union with the dynamic clothing entrepreneur, Peter Greene.

‘I encountered a woman who lamented, “My husband has left me, and my life is finished.” I countered, “Not so! Life goes on after a relationship, regardless of one’s age.” She agreed.’

As a secretive admirer of Ronnie, I’ve penned down this book on the sly, hoping against hope that it might someday find its place in the world. When the day came for me to meet with the publisher, I braced myself for the possibility of hearing, ‘Jo, abandon this folly!’ But fortunately, they didn’t know about my clandestine work.

I won’t bother sending Ronnie a copy since I know he likely won’t read it. He doesn’t seem to be a reader, at least not of books. In fact, during our 30 years together, I only saw him finish one book. Oh well, it’s his loss. And to be honest, this book is more suited for women.

She stated: “I drew inspiration from events that transpired in my life, yet all the characters are entirely fictional. I was inspired by everything around me. Shows like Sex Sent Me to the ER! or similar ideas would pop into my mind, and I’d think they could be great for Flo.

‘I believe my book has a humorous side, as it’s not meant to be taken too seriously. There are some amusing events that take place in the story. I sincerely hope people appreciate it for what it is – an attempt at something new and different. This is actually the first time I’ve ventured into this kind of writing. Oh, my father would have been incredibly proud to see me do this.’

Previously, Jo openly discussed the reason behind her enduring friendship with her former spouse, Ronnie, who parted ways with her in 2009. Despite their divorce, they continue to maintain a strong bond.

She mentioned that she could call him directly if any issues or problems arise.

However, I could also spend time with Keith [Richards], and I did meet him recently alongside Patti [Hansen]. I have a good relationship with everyone involved. I assure you, there was nothing improper in my actions!

If you have children and grandchildren, I believe it’s crucial… It gives me peace of mind knowing I can still address them as ‘the kids’, even when they’ve grown up, and say, “Please keep an eye on them from time to time!

Recently, Jo has traded her rock-and-roll way of life following her marriage to Ronnie for a peaceful, environmentally-conscious home in the countryside.

Apart from relying on WiFi, Jo mostly leads an independent lifestyle and has given up her past habits of alcohol and smoking marijuana in favor of cultivating her own vegetables. She’s also working on developing a supplement named Longevity to enhance her overall health.

In a conversation with The Telegraph, Jo openly acknowledged that she doesn’t possess an addictive character trait, which facilitated her decision to leave behind her party-filled lifestyle when it struck her unexpectedly that such a life didn’t align with her desires.
