As a huge fan, I’m telling you, X-Men ’97 has brilliantly laid the groundwork for the iconic Age of Apocalypse storyline! Seeing Apocalypse return – still determined to remake the world in his image – was amazing, and the fact that the X-Men are now spread throughout time after season one’s finale just sets everything up perfectly. That post-credits scene with Apocalypse finding Gambit’s card? It’s a clear signal he’s going to try and make Gambit his Horseman of Death, just like in the comics’ ‘Blood of Apocalypse’ storyline. I’m so hyped to see where this goes!
