Resident Evil 10 First Details Reportedly Revealed

Even though Resident Evil Requiem just came out, we’re already hearing news about the next major Resident Evil game, tentatively called Resident Evil 10. Things got a little confusing after Resident Evil 7 when Capcom stopped using numbers for the main games. However, Resident Evil Village is considered Resident Evil 8, and Resident Evil Requiem is Resident Evil 9. The next main installment is probably several years off, and there are rumors of remakes coming before it. Because of this, Resident Evil 10 will almost certainly be designed for the next generation of consoles – the Xbox and PlayStation 6.

It’s still too soon to say when the new Resident Evil game will be announced or come out, but we’ve learned who you’ll play as. According to reliable source Stiviwonder, the game won’t feature a completely new character like Resident Evil Requiem. Instead, it will bring back a well-known face who hasn’t been seen in recent installments: Claire Redfield.

Additional Details on Resident Evil 10

The latest report confirms what most expected: Resident Evil 10 will be built using Capcom’s RE Engine. This is the same engine originally developed for the Resident Evil series and later used in other Capcom games. It first appeared in 2017 with Resident Evil 7.

Look, I’m taking all of this with a grain of salt, okay? It’s not official at all, and even if the rumors are true, things can always change. If they are working on Resident Evil 10, it’s probably super early in development, so what they have now could be totally different by the time it actually comes out. We’ve seen this before – remember how Resident Evil Requiem went through a bunch of big changes while they were making it? That’s just how game development usually goes.

As of right now, Capcom hasn’t officially responded to these reports. We don’t anticipate they will, but we’ll be sure to update this article if they do.
