Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is on the mend.
The podcaster had emergency surgery on May 10th to remove a large cyst from her ovary. She explained that the cyst was twisting her internal organs and causing significant bleeding.
In a TikTok video posted on May 11th, Brianna explained that doctors discovered half a liter of blood in her pelvic area. She had five cuts on her stomach, and the surgery was performed using a camera inserted through her belly button to locate the source of the bleeding.
She went on to explain that they had removed half a liter of blood. After that, they took out the cyst and confirmed that all of her organs were in the correct position.
The problem started on the evening of May 9th, when the 26-year-old suddenly began to feel terrible pain after eating dinner.
She described suddenly and violently throwing up, collapsing onto the bathroom floor and experiencing uncontrollable shaking.
Brianna first tried to rest and see if her pain would go away, but it became extremely severe – she described it as a 20 out of 10. She went to the emergency room, where an ultrasound revealed she had ovarian torsion, requiring immediate surgery at another hospital.
The influencer described a condition where the ovaries twist, cutting off blood flow. She explained that if an organ doesn’t receive blood, it can die – which is extremely dangerous.
Fortunately, Brianna was accompanied by the guy she is seeing throughout the medical crisis.

She said she couldn’t imagine how she would have coped without him. He was there for her at the emergency room and stayed with her throughout her surgery.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always talking about embracing the unexpected, and right now, that’s exactly what I’m doing! I was so excited to make the move from Florida to New York City, but unfortunately, I’m recovering from surgery, which has put those plans on hold. I even joked on TikTok recently that I’m ‘technically homeless’ since my move-in date came and went! It’s a funny way to look at a temporary setback, and a reminder that life doesn’t always go as planned.
I had the most amazing Sunday planned – a relaxing pedicure, of all things! – but life had other plans. I ended up needing emergency surgery, which definitely threw a wrench in my self-care day. It just goes to show you, sometimes the unexpected happens, and you have to prioritize your health first.

Former Total Bellas star revealed that a breast implant moved after being hit in the chest by fellow WWE wrestler Piper Niven during a match in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. Lupita Nyong’o received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her acting in 12 Years a Slave.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that girls are often taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This leaves many of us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, causing a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki jokingly replied, explaining she’d been hiding a serious injury – a hernia caused by wearing extremely tight pants six months ago – out of embarrassment.

In April 2025, the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared that he was recovering from surgery to repair a nearly ruptured appendix.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain, which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a hole in it – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

As a lifestyle expert focused on well-being, I was really concerned to hear about the Racing Louisville midfielder who unfortunately collapsed early in their September 14th game against Seattle Reign. It happened just a few minutes into the match at Lumen Field in Seattle, and it’s a reminder of how important player health and safety are.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
Savannah received immediate medical attention on the field and was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, according to a statement from the National Women’s Soccer League. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 continue to cause him problems now.
You will NOT believe what I heard on Graham Bensinger’s podcast! Devine was talking, and honestly, it broke my heart. He said it’s been a total nightmare for him. He’s been having these awful spasms all over, and the doctors actually told him he was dying – like, seriously, within the last year! I’m so worried about him, it’s terrifying to think about.
He explained that his pain is intermittent, and described having some physical imperfections, saying, “My body isn’t quite right in a few places.”

Oh my god, you won’t BELIEVE what I just heard! Apparently, he was in SO much back pain on his RV trip – like, seriously bad – that he actually had to crawl to the hospital! Crawl on all fours! I’m so worried about him, it sounds absolutely agonizing!
He described a persistent tingling sensation, saying, ‘Even now, bringing my knees to my toes, it still feels tingly, which is really strange.’ He explained that just a few weeks prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a basic squat or stand on one foot without falling. He compared the feeling to having had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter from The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

The comedian later posted on social media to explain he’d actually been suffering from food poisoning, but was starting to feel better.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluating her injuries and immediately taking her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within an inch of a direct hit.
The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, but they’re keeping a close watch on the situation. Thankfully, their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that she realized how quickly life can change. She urged everyone to hug their loved ones often, as life is precious and can change in a moment.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, surprisingly, after it helped her uncover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving critical comments online, she was shocked to see doctors commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her face that raised concerns about high cortisol levels or steroid use. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections following a breast reduction and C-section. She ultimately learned she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she’s incredibly relieved to be healthy. As she shared, getting this diagnosis and knowing she’d recover was the best news she could have hoped for.

In December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut by a skate during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was alright. She then realized she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually passed, Hailey went to the hospital where tests revealed she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA uncovered a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled through this hole and to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey underwent a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, making it impossible to blink, smile, or move his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be okay and she was grateful he was fine.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, Foxx explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, grew concerned and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
Twenty days after surgery, on May 4th, Foxx woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago to begin rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the support he received, saying, “I appreciate every prayer, because I needed every prayer.”

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but then she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. Emilia underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports that she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is thankful for the support of her family. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and her loved ones immediately came to her aid. She told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi that she simply texted her family with the news and a picture, and they all rushed to be with her.
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with lupus and kidney problems.
Fortunately, Cori is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said. “I just had to work on regaining some motor skills, but other than that, I’m fine.”

Shailene Woodley struggled with her health throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive issues. She saw many doctors, but received conflicting diagnoses.
Because she comes from a holistic background and studies herbalism, Shailene sought help from both traditional doctors and alternative healers, hoping to find answers and regain comfort in her own body.
This health journey lasted ten years. She shared that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food, and eventually to struggles with body image and a sense of identity.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental well-being, Shailene is now healthy and happy. She confirmed that her condition ultimately resolved itself.
