The best part of streaming is that there’s always something to watch. With so many different services – some free, some you pay for – and easy access to them all, entertainment options feel endless. Whether you want to rewatch a favorite movie or finally finish a TV show, streaming makes it easy. In fact, we have more access to entertainment now than ever before. But with so much available, it can be hard to discover all the great shows out there.
I’m always hearing about the latest, hottest shows, but honestly, the streaming services are full of amazing hidden treasures! There are so many great shows that people have either forgotten about or just aren’t talking about much anymore. Whatever the reason, they’re totally worth a binge-watch, and I’ve found seven that I think you’ll really enjoy. I’m excited to share them – they deserve a lot more attention!
7) Freaks and Geeks (Prime Video)

Even when it first aired on NBC, Freaks and Geeks was something special – a hidden gem that didn’t get the attention it deserved. Created by Paul Feig and Judd Apatow, this short-lived series is now considered a classic, especially with its availability on Prime Video. Set in the Detroit suburbs of the early 1980s, the show follows two groups of high school students: the rebellious “freaks” and the awkward “geeks.” Both groups are simply trying to navigate the challenges of teenage life. It’s a funny, honest, and sometimes tough show that captures what it was really like to grow up in the ’80s. It perfectly balances nostalgia with genuine emotion, and many consider it one of the greatest TV shows of all time.
6) Warehouse 13 (Prime Video)

Okay, if you’re like me and love a good blend of laughs, heartfelt moments, and sci-fi, you need to check out Warehouse 13. It’s a bit of a hidden gem you can find on Prime Video. I stumbled upon it a while back – it originally aired on Syfy from 2009 to 2014 – and it’s about these two Secret Service agents, Pete and Myra, who get reassigned to this top-secret warehouse in South Dakota. Turns out, it’s where they store all kinds of weird, supernatural artifacts! They’re basically in charge of collecting more of these things and tracking down the ones that go missing. What surprised me most is how funny and genuinely moving it is for a sci-fi show. It’s got a lot more depth than you’d expect, and honestly, it’s just a really enjoyable watch from beginning to end.
5) Orphan Black (Netflix)

Many people now recognize Tatiana Maslany from her role in Disney+’s She-Hulk, but her performance in Orphan Black is truly exceptional. This sci-fi thriller, which ran for five seasons from 2013 to 2017, follows Sarah Manning as she discovers she’s a clone after witnessing the suicide of a woman who looks identical to her. She soon realizes she’s not the only one – a shadowy, illegal program has created many clones, and someone is actively hunting them down. Orphan Black is packed with surprising twists and raises important questions about the ethics of cloning. But the show’s biggest strength is Maslany herself. She doesn’t just play Sarah; she embodies all the main clone characters – and several others – giving each one a unique and memorable personality. It’s a captivating and remarkable performance.
4) Caprica (Paramount+)

If you’re looking for a compelling sci-fi drama, check out Caprica, a spin-off series from Battlestar Galactica available on Paramount+. Though it’s somewhat forgotten, it’s a real hidden gem. Set 58 years before the original series, Caprica explores the origins of the Cylons and how they came to rebel against humanity. The story centers on two very different families, the Graystones and the Adamas, whose lives become intertwined by a shared tragedy that will have far-reaching consequences. At its heart, Caprica is a story about loss and how people cope with grief. Even if you’ve never seen Battlestar Galactica, you’ll likely find this single-season series fascinating and well worth watching.
3) Banshee (HBO Max)

With Prime Video’s The Boys wrapping up, now’s a great time to check out Antony Starr – who plays Homelander – in a completely different role in the crime thriller Banshee. This series, which ran from 2013 to 2016, features Starr as a former convict who assumes the identity of Lucas Scott, the sheriff of Banshee, after Scott dies in a bar fight just before starting his job. Starr’s character, hiding from a dangerous crime boss named Rabbit (Ben Cross), has to balance upholding the law with his own criminal past. Things get even more complicated thanks to small-town politics, organized crime, and widespread corruption. Banshee didn’t get a lot of attention when it first aired, but it’s easily one of the best shows from the 2010s, and Starr delivers a fantastic performance.
2) Devs (Hulu)

If you’re a sci-fi enthusiast, Devs is a compelling eight-episode series available on Hulu. Created by Alex Garland, the show centers on Lily Chan, a software engineer at a quantum computing company called Amaya. When her boyfriend’s death seems suspicious, Lily begins an investigation that leads her to the company’s CEO, Forest, and a potentially world-altering conspiracy. While it’s not light viewing – Devs dives into complex ideas about technology, society, and what it means to be human – it’s visually stunning and sure to leave you pondering big questions.
1) Revival (Peacock)
Though Wynonna Earp gained a strong following, Melanie Scrofano’s other series, Revival, has remained somewhat under the radar. This 2025 show, also based on a comic book, takes place in Wausau, Wisconsin, where people unexpectedly come back to life. Adding to the chaos, Deputy Dana Cypress (Scrofano) must solve a murder, and everyone – including those who’ve been revived – is a suspect. To make things even more complicated, Dana’s sister is among the returned. Revival blends horror, science fiction, and humor, offering a unique take on the genre. It’s not a typical zombie show, but it’s sure to appeal to fans of the genre and is a really enjoyable watch.
