EastEnders confirms Assassin’s Creed and Prime Suspect 1973 actor as villainous crime boss

Anthony Skordi is joining the cast of EastEnders as ruthless crime boss Russell Delaney.

For months, a mysterious figure has been secretly tormenting Mark Fowler (Stephen Aaron-Sipple). This person ordered Mark to find and kill a police informant connected to a drug operation, and Mark didn’t realize the informant was actually Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), someone close to him.

A heated confrontation took place between the two men, during which Ravi desperately asked to be released from his suffering. The Mitchells and Vicki Fowler tried to stop them, but Mark feared the situation would ruin his family.

Russell received photos of Vicki and quickly threatened the recipient, demanding £30,000 or else he would face severe repercussions.

In upcoming episodes, Mark is quickly forced into a car by Russell’s associates and held captive as time runs out.

Skordi started his acting career with small roles in popular British shows like The Bill and Soldier Soldier. He later appeared in the CBS drama Scorpion and the series Prime Suspect 1973. More recently, he had roles in two episodes of Law & Order: Organized Crime and was also the announcer on The Drew Carey Show.

Gamers will probably recognize his voice immediately. He’s known for voicing The Dealer in the Hand of Fate series, Admiral Garrick Versio in Star Wars Battlefront II, and Tenebrae in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The star’s most notable voice role was as Pythagoras in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Viewers of the soap opera will see Russell return later this week. He’ll appear again before the funeral of Nigel Bates (played by Paul Bradley), after news spreads that Mark has mysteriously disappeared.

The gangster will phone Phil Mitchell and insist on being paid everything owed to him to guarantee someone’s safe return. However, things get worse when he hears Sam Mitchell talking and discovers they share a past.

Phil strongly felt they needed to attend the funeral immediately, and Grant and Sam eventually went along with it. But when the situation became urgent, they understood time was critical and rushed off to find him.

A confrontation will occur between Mark and Russell’s gang at a warehouse. Will Mark survive, or will Russell get the upper hand?
